then you messed up the auction. you could have gotten a good deal if you did it like this

Then you could have shown it to him and told him you have the auction set up.

He probably would have started it at 6le and it could've passed 17le a long time ago

 

I don't really see how it would pass it. He also recommended that I start somewhere around his price.

 

Just because one guy told you that doesn't necessarily mean he's right...

 

And just because one guy (you) strongly disagree with a price, or got a same or similar item for less, doesn't necessarily mean that you or the person who sold it to you for the 9LE were right either.

I ain't trying to butt into an argument on an item I'm not even interested in, I just think you're being very disrespectful and should take this to a forum msg if you still find reason to trash on his pricing reasons instead of doing it here in public, when both the thread owner AND a mod asked people to take it easy with this.

@Window1432 What I'd suggest you do maybe is since you got an offer off-thread for 1LE below what you're starting price is here, maybe consider changing the starting bid to 16LE and naming this other person as the "current bidder" at 16LE. (To the average auction browser, it would appear from the front post that nodody's bid on it yet.) Doing this would make it seem more "official" and maybe would ward off potential flamers?

 

im being rude? i telling him how he could have done this auction better to actually make money off of it, and when many people are saying that his pricing is bad, there is probably some truth in their words.

Yeah, although maybe your exact wording isn't intense or mean-spirited, you're clearly going against the wishes of the seller to keep this an auction thread, and in the process demeaning his credibility to the public. Not a single post by another person has been relevant to the point of the auction. Bottom line is that if someone bid 16LE for it, then to them the pricing seems fair and it's their money to spend/maybe slightly overpay with on. Unless you think this auction is a scam that needs to be known about, perhaps a private talk with the seller would be better.

 

This is the guy that is offering 16LE btw.
