Level Guide?

Is there any recent guide for leveling? im looking for areas to level up my current lv 39 warrior but its been a while, also does anybody know if pets actually provide something or it just a cosmetic?

I think most of the info is still pretty relevant. It's not recent but I suppose it's better than nothing.
