Dying/running Out Of Time In Wars

So ive been warring for about 3 days and I have ran out of time two times and in both situation there was less than 100 mobs left, but as soon as i attacked again there was 1000 mobs. Ive died once and it showed how much i killed.

Is it true that running out of time on wars means that no progress has been made? (same for dying)
I also thought, in the time that you cant war in the territory someone can buy the mobs again but if thats true then oh well.

 

Yes, someone can buy more mobs.

 

You still make progress even if you die. I'm not sure about running out of time though.

 

People are just restocking their territories, you don't lose progress from dying/running out of time
