    1. How does Mana Steal/Life Steal work? I'm not sure if it's taking effect or if it's just regular mana regen that's restoring my mana. I have some stuff that has the mana regen thingy on it, don't know if that helps.

    2. How do I read the "262/3s poison" or "54/3s life steal" IDs? Is it 262 damage over 3 seconds, or 262 damage every second for 3 seconds?

    3. How should I use powders? My instinctive reaction is to stuff a bunch of powders into an identified weapon that only deals neutral damage thinking that it'll add to the overall damage of the weapon. I've done some grinding and getting some of the big fat tier IV powders. Does adding powders add to the overall damage of the item, or does it take a fraction of the weapon's original base damage and convert it to elemental damage depending on the element/type of powder? (e.g weapon has 120 original base damage, add thunder powder with 20 thunder damage, weapon does 100 neutral / 20 thunder)?

    1) It has a chance to activate per mob hit by your melee attack. This chance is dependent on your attack speed, and if you're attacking a single mob, averages out to activating once per four seconds. This goes for both mana steal and life steal.
    2) Stealing is explained above. Poison shows total damage dealt over 3 seconds, so the enemies would take 87 poison damage per second(though one of them would deal an extra hidden point, it would show only 87 being dealt in the damage indicator).
    3) They do both.

Powders transfer neutral damage into an element, as well as adding a small amount of damage in that element of their own accord. The ratios vary dependent on the powder you use. For instance, Thunder transfers the least neutral, but adds the most raw, while Earth transfers the most neutral but has lower raw added.

Also of note is that if you put two of the same elemented Tier 4 or above powders on your items, a "powder special" will be unlocked for use that differs in effect depending on whether you put it on your armour or weapon.

No idea of the actual ratios, all I know is that Salted said they're supposed to activate every 4 seconds on average on each attack speed.
