Video Minecraft Idea: The Timer Block (minecraft Command Blocks)

I was thinking about a way to have non-laggy, smaller, and more precise repeater chains in Minecraft, so here's my idea on the matter:

This would be so helpful if it was in Minecraft, but sadly its not, leave your feedback in the comments on what you think. Also, if anyone didn't realize, this was kinda a fake video showing how it would work, but this isn't an actual command. Here's an explanation on how the command would work if it was real:

The command would start out as "/timer" then you would add the type of time (seconds, minutes, hours) so it would be /timer 1 for seconds /timer 2 for minutes and /timer 3 for hours, then comes the amount of time: /timer 1 3 (as used in the video) lasts three seconds and /timer 2 3 would last 3 minutes, ect. So in my opinion, it would be a pretty basic and simple command to use, the output of it would either continue a repeater chain (as in the video), or be picked up by a comparator.

These would be non-laggy because it wouldn't cause constant updates, and it could save a lot of work space, and it would be WAY more precise (.1, .2 seconds and stuff)

 

Sounds good, I think this should be a creative only block like the command block, the block is just too easy of a solution for survival minecraft. Idk, thats just what i think.

 

I mean this is possible in all with scoreboards but such a simple thing could be added I guess, post this on the reddit or something where the people actually look
