Does Loot Bonus Stop Working After A Certain Amount?

I was wondering because I saw someone say that once your loot bonus go's over 170% the amount of difference if very small?, is this true?

 

According to jp's changelog:

Spoiler: How it works for loot chests

The first 20% loot bonus give 20% bonus as it always did.
The second 20% loot bonus, however, gives only 15% actual loot bonus.
The third 20% adds only 10% loot bonus, the fourth only 5%.
This makes the first 80% loot bonus give only 50% actual loot bonus.
After that every 5% loot bonus give 1% extra actual loot.

After the compass shows you have 80% loot bonus, every point in loot bonus is equivalent to .2% bonus on chests. I think loot bonus stays constant on mob kills though.

for chests, the lb% you wanna aim for is 180% since that's when the loot doubles ig

you can get to 180% then focus the rest of the build on mr/ws

 

why not have like 400 lb tho?

 

You have 114% loot on chests, when 100 should be more than enough

 

it's unnecessary and having mobility is nice
