1. How does rerolling work? Does it become a different item entirely? If I have a Holy Greaves legendary item, and I reroll it, is there a chance of it going from Holy Greaves --> Chained Pixels via RNG? I've rerolled once or twice and I cant tell if its either terrible luck or if its not possible (the rerolls resulted in the original item after rerolling).

2. Good places to grind when level 37-40 or so?

 

Rerolling just changes your items' IDs, not your item as a whole ;)

I think the swamp next to Olux is great? Don't trust me 100% and wait for someone else's answer though (maybe the cave next to lusuco)

 

re identifying an item does not change the item, but the Identifications

Do quests and grind mobs around the mesa

Sand-Swept Tomb, the weapons there are pretty neat

 

I usually go farm around these places at that level, but yea, if he's not really experienced, its probably better he goes in a lower level place. Like I said, don't trust me 100% on what I said for the places

 

There is a bandit cave not far from the sand swept tomb, I'd recommend going there.

 

So, the only way to get other items is to just get them from mob drops or loot chests, etc.

If I kill a swarm of mobs in a single area and get two unidentified items as mob drops, is there a chance that the two will be different, regardless of the items being obtained from the same area?

 

Yes and no
There could be only one type of the item in the level range
But there also could be two different items
