    I’m concerned that I could end up losing some of my pets if I get to many. Can anyone tell me what happens for sure? If so thank you.

    Your menu will extend beyond minecraft's actual limits as more pets are activated. Depending on your game resolution and gui size, I'm quite sure it's possible to have hundreds of pets before it'll overflow.
