How To Chat?

I've seen people type to each-other in chat beforehand, but whenever I try to type it says "I cannot send that message". Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong or any prerequisites i'm missing?

so you're just using T and then a chat message, and then it says "I cannot send that message"?

Or are you talking about private chat?

Do you mean private message, /r, or normal chat? You may be typing a command wrong if you are doing private messages. however, if it is normal chat, then I cannot help you. Other people can though.

I've tried doing a private message and that works, the message i'm talking about is blue with WC in front of it.

 

That is a shout, you need to buy those because everyone across all worlds sees them(or it could be a guild chat message I suppose)
