    That's an issue with the compatibility of different mc versions. Boats should work fine in 1.8, but in any higher version they glitch and sink.
    I recommend the use of the Seaskipper, usually it's a lot faster and if you want to get somewhere where no Seaskipper is, it's usually not too hard to get there from an island that you can travel to with the Seaskipper.

    we added storms to wynn for more immersion.
    On a serious note... Backwards compatibility + wynncode = mess
    so yeah thats why
