In my opinion it is pretty bad actually. I know you have gotten lots of positive feedback but in my opinion it just isn't pleasant to listen to. The snares are very loud and distracting and it is only worsened by the fact that you choose to put many of your important notes and chords at the same time as the snare which makes it difficult to hear the melody/chords. Also I wouldn't say the melody is epic/hype or like a boss theme at all. To my ears it sounds like a lot of spammed notes. Although I don't see any clashing notes (good job!) the amount of them just makes my ears hurt. You spam all these notes but it doesn't add anything. For the first 30 seconds you just have the same 8 bar (I think) pattern playing over and over again but also another melody which just adds to the unnecessary amount of notes. Another problem I see is that you have no chords what so ever and maximum of 2 piano notes at a time. The notes just spam with no intention. The song doesn't have a final conclusion either. My main complaint is that I get a headache when listening to this song just because of the sheer amount of stuff. The stuff doesn't add anything and just clutters the song and weighs it down. The whole piano part is just a sheer layer of melody with no foundation to support it (chords).

    Disagree A lot

    1. The snares aren't too loud in my opinion, I feel its just in the background with the bass taking the forefront, but of course in every song Bass always goes in the front because mc is shit
    2. I sorta? Agree with this part? Its not a full on boss theme since it could be used in a lot of scenarios and it isn't hype but mainly suspense or something similar.

    3. The spammed notes is something I would agree on, there should be some variation once and a while, but the beginning is a common thing in all songs which many people like so I think its good
    4. No song needs chords to be good, lots of songs have no chords. The no ending is because this is a loopable song like many wynn songs
4.Yeah no, the stuff I feel is good, no song needs chords, lots of good songs dont have chords

I would not say the bass takes the forefront. I would rather say the snare takes up a lot of space. At least from 1:10 to 1:20 the snares are almost everything you hear (except a little melody). And then after that you hear. Du du SNARE, du du SNARE. When I want to hear the end of that small piece of melody all I can hear is a loud snare covering that pretty crucial piano note.

In my opinion something like this is much more epic than 3-5 notes (I'm not sure how many notes there are exactly) played in a repeated pattern for 2 minutes. It gets stale and just notes on notes on notes and it makes my head hurt. this piece is also very good. And won't you know it. Both songs are complex songs with chords and an end that resolves but not spammy. This is epic and perfect for a bossfight not 4 notes in a boring pattern spammed.

running in the 90s is very similar with really fast notes, the melody isn't supposed to matter as much as the drums
    ________________________________

this song doesn't have chords, and yet its still good

also how do you expect me to add chords with the limited range of 2 octaves and only 5 instruments, believe me if this was a full song not designed for minecraft it would have chords

but overall kinda glad you said something, its a bit annoying when no one gives you critisism

    Okeh. I don't like it.

It's too Wynncraft. And while I get it's supposed to be Wynncraft-like, I just don't like Wynncraft music. It's repetitive. Now there's nothing wrong with having a motif, but you have to expand on it. The rest of the melody is honestly just a mess, it's all over the place and frankly fast and messy doesn't equate to exciting. I felt nothing while listening to it. It doesn't really fit a boss either in my opinion. Wynncraft bosses aren't like this. They're not fast-paced crazy hectic messes, they're quite boring, for the lack of a better term.

By the way, I didn't even like your example of a good piece of music.

ya ok so basically my song sucks because wynncraft songs suck

    thanks for the "criticism"

and fyi I am making more motifs for the song, but im a techno artist so working on longer, meaningful melodies is hard

I guess we have different opinions on what is "good" music. I still think this is "bad" but you may think otherwise. I also worded it wrong. The foundation doesn't have to be chords, that was wrong. But something that contrasts the very high notes you have and make them seem like more than just a mess. I do agree with what Stormarend said mostly as well.

I can freaking jam to this man! It reminds me of one of my favorite orchestra pieces Spartacus by Brian Balmages. You should look it up.

However, there are way to many loud beat instruments and its too in your face so it masks the tune, and it's a little repetitive.
    ________________________________
While true that running in the 90s has very repetitive notes, this is only a small segment of the tune. The rest of it, if you've listened to it, is much like any other song with different melodies put together.

I personally think it's really hype and the exaggerated snare/bass and repeating notes add to that. There's a limited set of tools available to @JohnnyNubPotato and I think they used them quite well...
