    Hello,

I'm pretty new to this server and still trying to learn how this game works. I currently have an assassin class and really don't know what to skill and what powders really do. I want to go for spells, but still have decent meele damage.

To my first question: What should I skill?

I've got a assassin with ~30, skilled with 8/14/14/15/11 atm. Should I change something there.

Now to my second question: How do powders and elements work?

I figured out, that certain classes have different elements and skills sorted to them. But how should I bring them together. I don't understand what for example "Fire Defense" or "Earth Damage" means. Do I do more damage to certain mobs and what should I as an assassin preferably use? I somewhere read, that Thunder would be the best, but I don't really like the luck base of Dexterity and more want to go to Intelligence (Which is water then?!).

I hope I could explain my problem with my broken English and hope this is the right forum section for this!

    Thx,
    Leon

    alright so
theres no best way to put skill points, its really up to you to decide what you want to go for. earth(strength) is generally slow, hard hitting melee, thunder(dexterity) is fast and high damage, water(intelligence) is spell-spammy, fire(defense) is slow and very hp tanky, air(agility) is very fast with low damage. since you want to go for spells and have decent melee damage id recommend to put most of your skill points in intelligence and strength.

the element system is quite simple actually, but if you havent understood skill points it might be hard. basically, a lot of armour and weapons have ids such as air damage % for example. this id will boost all air damage youre dealing to enemies, whether it be from your weapons base damage or your spells conversion (your spells convert a bit of neutral damage to elements, https://wynncraft.com/help -> classes to see it)
powders on weapons will convert some neutral damage and add some base elemental damage to your weapon

air defense% will boost your raw air defense (the one thats under the health when you hover over your armour, by now youve probably seen it at least once)
powders on armour will increase the elements defense but also decrease the defense of a certain element(if you need a clearer explanation theres some books near the powder masters)

mobs have specific weaknesses and defenses. you will deal more damage to a mob with an air weakness, while you wont deal a lot of damage to a mob with air defense. mobs can also deal elemental damage just like you, and thats what your elemental defense is for.

now theres no best element to use but as i said before you might want to go for water and earth, which deals a good amount of spell and melee damage while also having a slight focus on regen ids(all elemental combos have a small focus on certain ids but you dont really have to worry about that, youll see while leveling up)
hope my explanation wasnt too bad

Thanks for your answer :D! I think it actually did help. As an conclusion you are saying I should skill what I want to have (like spell spammy) and not what (I thought) is the main skill of a class. If that's right I should get a decent class!
