Is Dern Desolation?

As I was doing the quest The Realm of Light I realized that there were 3 seeds of darkness/evil and one of them was desolation. So maybe Dern is Desolation? Just a theory post your opinion on the matter below.

 

no, dern is pretty much confirmed to be related to darkness.

 

I don't think the RoL is connected in any way to Dern, but I'm not much of a lore buff, so

 

Desolation is gavel maybe? I mean like it's slowly being destroyed via the decay and whatnot, and desolation literally means "a state of complete emptiness or destruction."

 

But Decay is different from Desolation

 

I think Dern is Dark Provnice in a Dark Realm.

 

It could also relate to Dern, as Dern has possible been destroyed by The Eye and is most likely pretty empty.

 

It isn't dern, or so that's what the many discussions about it have determined

 

What does any of that mean?

 

Assuming that the area on the top right of the map is Dern it looks like its been through some tough times that made it look desolate

I think were talking about the same place :P and that does look desolate to me. Considering Gavel already has darkness in it I would think the Staff would want to give us something new.

Also wtf do you mean by "it's desolation"
