Question About Horse Upgrading

Hi, i was wondering, if you upgrade your horse with 5 max levels at a dungeon.
Will it reset to 1/(?)
or will you be able to get another 5 levels.
I think it does reset but in my opinion it is not worth it having a chestnut horse on 1/30 for just 5 extra levels.

but thats why u buy 1/30 and upgrade it to 1/35 lol
if u have a 30/30 just sell it then buy a 1/30 and upgrade that ;)
