What exactly are you confused with?

Here's a summary:
everyone has a distinct number from 1-10; you know the numbers of all other players but not your own, all of them are summed including yours
you state a number
if someone challenges your number:
1) if your number is greater than the sum, you lose points
2) if your number is smaller or equal to the sum, you earn points

card 8 takes the lowest value out of all numbers for the sum instead of 8
