    I...honestly don’t know.
    The Patriots are named after New England being where the idea of revolution started. And the colonists calling themselves ‘Patriots’ so there’s that.
    The Florida Dolphins being named after them being in Florida, they have tropical wildlife. So they picked Dolphins.
    Those are the ones I can explain off the top of my head. The others...idk man.

    Oh that. Naming in general is kinda arbitrary, but some western states like Arizona have large reservations for Native Americans. I don’t think it was supposed to be offensive (at least in the time it was named and to white people).
