Assassin/Ninja Help

So in got this memento, it has 4/4 Mana Regen and 20% spell damage. Pretty great memento, amiright. But it has -254 lifesteal, ouch. I'm playing an assassin which I'm trying to specialize in water/air so the mana Regen and the spell damage are flipping amazing, but the life steal is killing me out there. I can't just keep chugging pots. I know what I want my chestplate helm, and both rings to be, but I'm looking to possibly counterbalance the negative life steal with the braclet, necklace, and leggings. Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated

Exactly! That's my problem! I could just not melee but then I'm losing like half of the damage

 

that's not how damage works

you don't just lose half your damage for ignoring melee. some builds literally don't melee. that is known as spell spam

 

I'm aware, how I play is I melee while I use spells :P
