Spells!

Hey everyone !

I've done another small update to the game!

• Tripwires no longer click when triggered.
• Fixed a crash issue related to vines.
• Escape and war scream now refresh their potion effects if you use either again while their effects are still present.
• Mob vanish now always makes the mob visible again after finishing (mob spell).
• You can no longer sleep in beds.
• Mob multihit now stops after you die.
• Guild chat and private messages are now less straining for the server.

These changes are now being rolled out throughout the network and will be in every game instance in 3 hours.

To be honest I always thought this was an intended balancing mechanic, so that Warriors and Archers can't just keep using escape and war scream to keep the effects from running out.

Granted, before then even if it ran out you could just immediately use the spell again and regain the effect. So hell if I know.

 

how can you fix something that died in 2017?

this is the part where the real digging starts my dudes

This means two things, my friends. First, RIP "OH MY GOD YOU STUPID IDIOTS GO BACK GOD DAMMIT" in cssts, you will be missed. Second, now I can't make dumb puns about the community being more /triggered/ about guilds than the tripwires in Sand-Swept Tomb. not like they were good anyway ;-;

crap, now mobs can't randomly attack me withoUT ME EVEN KNOWING THEY WERE THERE AHKDJGHLK it's like the 'nam flashbacks all over again..

Man do you have /any/ idea how tiring guild wars are? like, bro, I need the relaxation hours, plus teleporting classes everywhere via bugs is cool obviously just kidding fuck sleep mountain dew is salvation hail mountain dew

honestly this doesn't seem too helpful in the long run because nonetheless I sTILL DIE DAMNIT

you know, every time I see jp write "rolled out" I imagine a carpet full of pesticide being blanketed over all of the wynn servers, and then everything beneath being removed of bugs.

Except the carpet just keeps getting bigger and better, every single time.

To conclude my ramble, thanks jp, for making the server slightly less of a hellhole every single time.

And of course thanks to the other devs, who deserve just as much credit. The only difference between them and Jp is that Jp is the lucky guy who gets to present his work immediately instead of chillin' behind the scenes. You guys behind the scenes deserve credit too <3

It wasn’t really OP, it was just annoying. Like you said you could immediately use it afterward so you’d pretty much have the effect all the time. Just now you don’t have to wait for it to run out.

 

oh btw also fix the emeralds u get from territories thing

That part of the quest has already been adjusted to accommodate for this.
