Mana Steal?

Currently... I own a Torrential Tide with 4/4 mana steal. I figure thats good, but the thing is, i dont know what mana steal is. How does it affect the weapon?

 

You can gain mana by doing melee damage, and it works with chance.

The lower attack speed you have, the higher chance to make it work.

(It would be hard to use without some mana regen back up)

Basically, it means that it "Increases the amount of mana you gain when dealing damage"

 

When you damage enemies, you have a chance of getting 4 mana. It says 4/4 because the chances have *supposedly* been scaled to each weapon tier. The faster attack speeds have a lower steal chance, and slower attack speeds have a greater chance to steal. You can steal from multiple enemies simultaneously (attack 2 enemies and get mana steal from both, it is still down to chance for each of them).
