WynnCraft Server Guide - Optimized for Update 1.17
(Released January 13th, 2018)

Small explaining here. I've done a thread about WynnCraft before but it is VERY old and I didn't really have experience in the server itself. I am remaking it, but I will be updating it as I go upgrading on the server. Nowadays, the server has been updated and I've been becoming more experienced with Wynn, though I am not as good compared to people who finished the game several times with different classes. Please, if you find anything wrong or out of place, it is because I am not as experienced as other players and I've not finished the game yet. This thread will be updated as I fix the mistakes. This thread may also contain spoilers from the Wynn story. You have been warned.

What is Wynncraft?



Wynncraft is a MMORPG server created on May 7th, 2013. It is an adventure of you, a new Ragni solder, around the three provinces to help people and learn about the corruption that is spreading through.
There are two main provinces, the Wynn province and the Gavel province.

Classes

You can be 4 different classes (6, if you are VIP, and 8, if you are VIP+ or HERO)

Archer / Hunter (VIP and above)

Precision is the key to victory. The archer sits comfortably at range to decimate their enemies with powerful projectiles. Evading and dodging enemies attacks is crucial to the playstyle of this class. Archers dish out huge amounts of damage, but aren’t so adept at defending themselves.

Warrior / Knight (VIP and above)

A good defense is a good offense. Warriors are one of the strongest classes in the game, they can take huge punishment from their enemies and walk away without a scratch. Their multiple crowd control abilities and natural defense makes warriors a formidable foe.

Mage / Dark Wizard (VIP+ and above)

Knowledge is power. Mages are naturally talented in the mystical arts, not only can they produce powerful incantations to destroy enemies, they can also heal allies and protect their friends. Although alone mages are not the most powerful, they are a valuable asset to any team.

Assassin / Ninja (VIP+ and above)

The unseen is the deadliest foe. The assassin uses their various stealth spells to swiftly and seamlessly vanquish their opponents. From the shadows they are able to strike multiple times before their enemy knows what hit them. In a duel with an Assassin, one should watch their back…. And their front.

Quest Book

Since of Update 1.17, there has been a new layout for the quest book.



It has been divided into Quests, Discoveries and Secret Discoveries.

Quests

There is a total of 124 quests as of Update 1.17. They are divided from Level 1-25, Level 26-50, Level 51-75 and Level 76-100.
Here follows a list of all the quests you can do, divided in the way the quest book does.
Length: Green means Short, Yellow means Medium, Red means Long.

Discoveries

The discoveries are the places that you discover (obviously). The normal discoveries are divided into Territories and World.
[Note: I will only show World discoveries. This is also unfinished and will be completed within time as I am a human being and I don't have all the time to get everything. Be patient ;-;]

Spoiler: All World Discoveries

[Lv 1+]
Ragni - One of the two great fortresses in Wynn. Ragni has survived over 1000 years of war - sometimes barely. It is the hometown of the 146 year old hero Bob, who hasn't been seen in 16 years.
Emerald Trail - The trail through Nivla Forest to Detlas, the central city of the Wynn Province.
Katoa Ranch - This farm is most famous for its milk, though recently the cows that produce it have been gone missing.
Nivla Woods - This forest has been infested with giant, mutant arachnids for countless years. They serve as the greatest obstacle for adventurers on their way to Detlas.
Detlas Suburbs - This area is heavily defended by the armies of Detlas and Ragni to ensure food production continues.
Detlas - The center of the Wynn province. This city is a massive hub of trade for all adventurers, wheter they have just started their journey or have been at it their whole lives.
Black Road - This road leads to the town of Ternaves and its nearby mine. It is inhabited by strange mushroom-cow hybrids, and a mysterious scientist.
Nivla Village - A small village hidden within the trees in the Nivla forest. Home of the only bowl merchant in the province.

Maltic - The first town founded by Villagers in the Wynn Province. Maltic's beach is the site of a shipwreck that crashed upon its shores 100 years ago.
Coastal Trail - This beach side path is used by many travelers who seek to avoid the spider-infested route of the Emerald Trail.
Elkurn - Despite its proximity to the portal, this quaint town has somehow managed to survive. It was once the home of a researcher who investigated the phenomenon of corruption.
Sanctuary Bridge - This magnificent bridge connects the mysterious ruins of Time Valley to the frigid cold of the Nesaak Tundra. In the center lies a mysterious seal that no one has been able to open.
Ternaves - This small town has laid quietly near Detlas for decades. Nearby lies a massive prison that few draw near.

[Lv 10+]
Bear Zoo - This strange island is home to the province's one and only zoo. The owner thought out in the ocean the creatures would be safe from the corruption, but the zoo doesn't get many visitors.
Pigmen's Ravine - This massive, maze-like ravine is home to the Pigmen, a species of half-pig, half-human abominations that feast on any weak adventurer who happens to stumble inside.
Time Valley - The ruins here have been present longer than the portal. Only one person alive today understands this strange place. Time acts strangely here and it's apparent that whoever made them were not human.

[Lv 15+]
Nemract - Nemract is an under-defended, rough, seafaring city. The people here have endured a lot of suffering - and that has made them hardy.
Ancient Nemract - Hundreds of years ago, the original stone city of Nemract was ravaged by a swarm of the undead. Now it is only inhabited by the corpses of those who died that day.
Savannah - Wild ocelots inhabit this mostly-barren savannah, which leads to the Almuj desert. There is a town on the edge of the mountains, though few visit it.
Bremminglar - Not many travel to this little tribal village in the savannah, but it is said to be the home of a powerful sorcerer.
Abandoned Mines - Despite mining opening up the infamous portal, it did not stop. Some speculate that these mines are hiding an even greater danger...
Rooster Island - This egg-shaped island is home to a single-resident, a featherbrained villager hermit obsessed over chickens. Rumor has it that Bob has visited the island for some reason.
Durum Isles - Despite the odd formation of land, every inch is covered in farmland, and acts as a proverbial breadbasket for the ocean capital of Selchar.
Bovine Barn - A lush cavern hidden under the barn at Durum Isles. It is bursting with life and natural energies, and is fiercely protected...

[Lv 20+]
Selchar - Founded in 970AP after the waves calmed, this city became the bridge between Gavel and Wynn. It flourishes in trade and enjoys a safe haven from the dangers of both provinces.
Seavale Reef - Ocean currents flow and intertwine to form these renowned reefs, bursting with life. Tourists frequently dive and discover lost treasure, dropped from merchant ships and carried by the currents.
Roots of Corruption - A thousand years ago, a group of emerald miners unearthed a mysterious portal. Unknowingly, they doomed the province to centuries of war against the mysterious force known as corruption.
Pirate's Bay - A massive pirate ship crashed here with such severity, the hull was moulded into the cliffside. Some say that there is still treasure hidden inside.

[Lv 25+]
Almuj - Even in the harsh desert, people have found a way to survive. The massive city of Almuj uses the nearby water sources to keep its city a thriving oasis.
Almuj Great River - Despite its barren surroundings, this river has sprouted various plant life. It flows straight into the Rymek Canyon.
Invaded Barracks - Once the barracks of the Almuj Army, it has been taken over by the traitorous rebel, Commander Takan.
Half-Moon Island - This land is strangely infested by undead, despite the island showing no symptoms of corruption. Rumours fly, but most people simply avoid the island entirely.

[Lv 30+]
Rymek - The town of Rymek was founded by the Creden Tibus bandit group. They only deal exchanges through a special currency.

[Lv 35+]
Nesaak - In the center of the unnaturally frozen forest lies the small village of Nesaak. Their main source of food is fishing.
Gavel Gate - This massive doorway serves as the main entrance to the province of Gavel. Through it lies the imperial quartz city of Llevigar.
Llevigar - The city of Llevigar is the first sight adventurers see in Gavel. It was built using quartz mined from the nearby Karoc Quarry. It is the most advanced city in Gavel.

Now, the secret discoveries are harder places that are hidden and you need a specific amount of items to get in.

Powders

There are 5 types of powder in 6 different tiers. When adding 2 powders of Tier 4 to 6 of the same element, the weapon or armor activates its special ability.

There is the ✤ Earth, which increases the damage and the Earth stats. Its special in:
Weapons is Quake, which deals great damage around the player and very slightly stun the enemies.
Armor is Rage, which gives additional damage per percent of health missing.

There is the ✦ Thunder, which increases the chance of a critical hit (double of the damage) and the Thunder stats. Its special in:
Weapons is Chain Lightning, which damages all nearby enemies one after the other.
Armor is Kill Strike, which gives additional damage per kill streak. If it gets slow, the bonus is gone.

There is the ❉ Water, which decreases the mana used in spells and increases the Water stats. Its special in:
Weapons is Curse, which creates rain over an enemy's head, reducing its defense for a while.
Armor is Concentration, which gives additional damage per mana used.

There is the ✹ Fire, which increases the defense and the Fire stats. Its special in:
Weapons is Courage, which buffs the damage of you and everyone around you for a while.
Armor is Endurance, which gives additional per hit received for a while.

There is the ❉ Air, which increases the chance of dodging and attack and the Air stats. Its special in:
Weapons is Wind Prison, which paralyses the enemy for a while and gets knocked far if hit.
Armor is Dodge, which gives additional damage per time spent close to a mob.

There is also a Powder Master in every big city (for example, Detlas). He can:
- Add a powder to a weapon/armor piece.
- Fuse 4 powders of the same tier to form one of a higher tier.
- Remove a powder to a weapon/armor piece.

Loot Tiers

There are two types of loot tiers: For Equipment and For Chests.

For Equipment

Whenever you kill a mob, there is a chance of a weapon or armor piece dropping from it. In every one there is a bar that classifies the item. It can be Normal, Unique, Rare, Set, Legendary and Mythic.

Legendary and Mythic equipment are the highest tier of all.
They are extremely rare to drop and are one of the strongest of all.

For Chests

Some chests appear randomly throughout the entire place. They come in 4 tiers.
Some chests, like tier 3 and 4, spawn in specific places very hard to find and give a big amount of loot off of it.

Why do we care this is on the website

 

This is untrue, Corkus is not actually a province. Its seeking recognition from the other provinces to become one.

 

Some info is, some info isn't.

The server says it has 3 provinces. The provinces, in the map, have a yellow color and Corkus has a yellow color as well.

Also, the website has info that it is not shown there, for example, the Powders, but it is shown elsewhere, the Wiki of WynnCraft. This thread serves basically as a mix of both the website and the Wiki with my own words.

 

lore wise, corkus is not a province.

 

There is also a quest that says "3 provinces" and not two. I will consider Corkus a province for now though I know it is not really a province because it is called "Corkus Island"

 

Can't you just listen to everyone? It is not a province. The provinces are Wynn, Gavel, Fruma and Dern. Dern is sometimes called a realm, but afaik it's not, it just has links to the Realm of Darkness (or something. Not sure). Corkus is a splinter group from Fruma's totalitarian government, who escaped from Fruma, presumably lost their memories (not sure on that one) and developed Electromagic. Most of them want to be a province, but there is a group who don't, who we encounter in Mixed Feelings. They are also not a province because of their borders: they are very exclusive about who they let in (lore wise at least), and because of their robot problem. The other provinces presumably don't want the robots invading them, I guess?

Don't think I missed anything there. Sorry if it sounded salty, didn't mean it to. Also the thread is still not dark theme friendly. Idk if you're on mobile or not, but mobile can make it awkward to highlight text in my experiance.

 

First, you are acting like you didn't see my posts in comments. I know it is not a province but I consider it one because it is easier to call it that. If I called it "island" it'd be too vague. And that's why I simplified to "two main provinces" because I don't want even more people to go kiddo corkus is nut a provinc just git gud play game, so sorry if you think I don't listen to everyone

It isn't easier to call it a province, as seen by the community gabbing pitchforks and lighting a fire under you lol. It is not "vague" to call corkus and island, as many other "islands" are just that. Your statement of 2 main provinces makes sense, Gavel and Wynn are where players spend most of the game, but Corkus is not a province. The Island has a lot on it, but it isn't listed as a province in the lore yet.

Idk, call it a "wannabe province" or something. I don't know if you said this in the main post, but if you haven't please mention that it isn't a true province but that people there want it to be recognis d as one.

But you should put the "Rare" tier in pink, not in purple.

 

Rare and Mythic have the same color or almost identical. I decided to put Rare as pink to give more "obscure theme" on Mythic or something xP
This thread is basically a mix between Wiki and the help page with my own words, that's why there is a lot of stuff from both.
