I found this sign in the Lexdale Prison, anyone know what it's a reference to?

I knew that and that he was one of the 4 mage brothers who studied the meteors but maybe Yahya and his brothers imprisoned them?

 

It could just be a joke. But it might not be.

 

Very interesting, I haven’t seen this b4. There isn’t much coherent lore about Yahya and his brothers, so idk what it could be alluding too.

 

It is a joke. There was a disussion on this ~a year back when and I’m pretty sure a content team member said it was a joke. There are more of that sign to be found in the prison as well.

 

Did Yahya drug them?

This is to vague for me to be of much use tbh, but let me give you the first thing that ran through me head.

Four brothers, right? Astronomers, studied the white meteors and went crazy. Nohno and Yahya are in Wynn, Mehme is in Gavel and Sohso (that’s the name, right?) escaped, probobly to Fruma.

Now, since we don’t actually know anyone else with personal connections to Yahya, this is difficult. But, imagine this situation.

Mehme seems off, but is far more sane than Yahya or Nohno. I think it’s stated that Yahya is the oldest, idk. Anyway, it’s Yahya’s idea to study the meteors, being the eldest. Nohno goes crazy too and Mehme starts to go crazy. He’s locked up in the prison, either by Sohso for his own safety or by other people seeing him go insane. He attributes his being locked away to be Yahya’s fault, since he decided to start studying the meteors. He ends up escaping, but still goes insane.

OR

The other three brothers all go insane, except for Sohso. But, he’s locked away because the people of Gavel saw the other 3 go insane and think that he might too. They lock him away, and the rest is the same as before. He blames Yahya, and eventually escapes.

But, those are just little spitballs that don’t have any evidence.

Idk but I’d be mad too after his mushroom quest.

 

In the Forbidden Prison quest, you get sent to your cell repeatedly if you get spotted. The sign is in your prison and can be viewed by looking through a crack in the wall

Don't take this as fact, or even sturdy theory. It's got little to no evidence, it's just a possible explanation (although, given the lack of evidence, a rather good one in my opinion)

 

It's probably just some dude who doesn't like Yahya lol
