I went to Historical Maltic weeks ago and found this
That's obviously Salted, nearly matches with this vid:

The Question is where did this painting come from, if Salted was indeed a player like us in the storyline.
Does it have the same origins with the bovine religion?

Salted isn't a player within the game's lore, nor is anyone. No player is more than a random soldier

I don't know how much paintings fall into the canonicity of Wynncraft's lore. There was a competition before the resource pack was released where people could submit art to appear on the paintings, so I don't think they actually can be linked to any events or lore within Wynncraft. They're more just an aesthetic thing.

 

Well there is a corrupted Salted in a cave (near mt wynn if I remember right)

 

Salted and craftedmovie, i belive, ARE canon in wynncraft, to some extent.
There was a seaskipper dialogue i saw that said something like
”A lot of pirates went on a big treasure hunt, i think they were drunk when they said that, as teh captain was suppousedly a cow and they had to fight a demon cow”
This is a refrence to an craftedmovie miniseries
