Maelstrom's meant to be named after Mael or vice versa.
all of bob's trainers have a weapon for their class.
Mael has Maelstrom
Ethe has Ethereal
Fier has Fierte
Chak has Chakram

 

So then how did Maelstrom end up with Carvel?

 

I don't believe the weapons and trainers are actually shown to be related in terms of ownership, it was just a naming thing.

 

Sort of. Chakram seems to have been actually owned by Chak, but the rest don't

 

according to the wiki, each of the weapons, scythe, chakram, ethereal and maelstrom were the strongest of for their classes and each belonged to each respective master. its possible that the lore of the weapons are just outdated as chakram didnt have a lore and now it seems to refere to chak (still a dumb name)
however ethereal seems to state that its a replica so idk :/

 

scythe isn't related to the 4 trainers, Fierte is. Fier's the warrior trainer.

and the wiki also says scythe was the one that belonged to the trainer
or that it was the strongest spear at least :\
i guess they just couldnt come up with a gud name related to scythe?
