My Hypothetical Timeline Of The Next Few Updates

Here we go
1.18: Road to Dern. Early/Mid Summer 2018. Might be access to fringe parts of the province, like 1.15. Will add more Dern lore about the eye, it’s relation to other Wynn things, ect

1.19: Dern Expansion. Late fall/Early winter 2018. Full Dern release, level range unknown. Could have level cap increase.

1.2: Minor update probably like 1.17, early 2019. Quality of life, quests, Dern things, main quest line???

1.21: Road to Fruma, mid 2019, add fruma lore and things like Road to Dern

1.22: Fruma Expansion, early 2020


Beyond that is unknown.

Please take this with a grain of salt, it is probably not true, just what I can tell off current lore

 

Dern is a special case having the intro update then main update, I don't think Fruma will follow suit. I think Fruma will come out all in one update, then have a follow-up-update similar to Gavel

 

This is about all I would change, yeah, except I feel as if the main storyline still won't be out with Dern

 

corkus as well.

Note there has been 8 months between updates. It has gone December-August-April-December since the gavel update (minus the minor 1.15 Wynnter update, which was 3 months before corkus and 4 after Gameplay) and on to the DnD update.

So if this whole thing is a pattern the dev team goes by, then this could be something to consider with dates. I have the changed dates bolded in the quote replacing the existing ones. Note any can change and alter if/when we get Hallowynn or Wynnter updates or hold up occurs. This is me just adding on to this speculation time wise.

 

Let’s be honest, are we really going to need the Main storyline with the secret discoversies and all? As an exploration game and with limited resources, I think it’s the best way to tell the whole story of Wynn. Quests are already using cutscenes, moving NPCs, and other mechanics. Idk what a Main storyline would do differently. At least this way the CT and admins don’t have to work on a whole new different system, and players are encouraged to explore the map.

It was assumed from the trailer, and it’s outside of the quest system, so yes. I think the CT confirmed it too. Though now I think they will have most of the MS in discoversies and quests.

 

Do you know what the outside of the quest part was and where I can see it was confirmed or whatever?

 

In my thread about the Main storyline Grian talked about how the code wasn’t up to date to create the Main storyline. The staff always talks about it separate from quests anyway. Plus, in the Gavel trailer, at the bottom left hand corner you see unique dialogue of “press shift to continue,” which hasn’t been implemented in any quest so far.

 

For the code, that would be the code refactor. The code is all old and Jumla and other devs but mainly him have been working really hard to recode Wynn so content is easier to create and so it can have more features. Not sure about the shift to continue, probably not a huge thing though

 

Wouldn't it make sense to do Fruma before Dern?

Fruma seems quite down to earth, Dern is more mystical and secretive, it should be built up more in the rest of the world.

 

That still shows that it’s separate of quests. I’m well aware of the code refractor.
