I was not referring to you specifically, I was referring to the European/Canadian/etc. elitism that's been going on for a while. It feels like people from non-US countries join discussions concerning Net Neutrality just so they can say that they are better than us in every way possible. (Again, I am not referring to you.)

I’m annoyed that some people that are anti-NN are trying to split parties by saying(about net neutrality) “this is what liberals want” when this in fact what most AMERICANS want.

Just a note, I guess.

Here in Australia, we don't have Net Neutrality, because partly of consumer laws and the healthy amount competition we have - there's lots of choice here and it's unnecessary. So, incase everything goes wrong, congress approves the appeal, and all court battles fail, there could be a chance that competition really does pick up as it is here.

 

Not really because the US is a filthy capitalist nation ruled by the bouegeoisie. There is no competition in the US with no NN, currently Comcast and a handful of other companies have a monopoly on internet services in the US. Without NN, these monopolys can push regulation that the common consumer has no choice but to accept because there is no alternative, and they can also hinder competition through throttling the services of other companies. Not enough people care about NN outside of a few vocal nerds, the general populus dont know much, nice to be European :^)
