Best "wand" ?

So it has been awhile, and I just want your opinions on what you think the "best" wand out there is. Any level really, but I remember Ethereal being the "best" when I was playing, and assuming that has changed?

Again this is just an opinion question, but I'm generally curious. Would be best if you were to add on why you think your weapon choice is the best.

 

Theres obviously going to be people ranting about the best mythic wands. Anyway, if Ethereal was the best wand the last time you played, I'm going to tell you, theres a new item tier called Mythic. So.... idk what the best wand really is.

Also, do you mean in Base IDs?

Well this question is highly subjective, I'd say the best wand is the one that fits you but if you are looking for damage is fatal, gaia for spell damage, compiler, eidilion for melee builds I am sure I am missing a few.

 

It was more simple pre-gavel, since there were no elements, less ID's, and less items to choose from.
Now weapons can get better from different builds, so the real question here is, What is the best build? (I have no clue BTW)

I can't answer this for sure, but I am pretty sure it is one of the mythic wands:

 

Probably Gaia for its insane damage in spell and melee, or lament. Warp has insane damage but insane drawbacks that comes with it

Best wand is probably Gaia but I don’t really play mage (nor have I ever owned a mythic) so I’m not sure.

Wow most of these wands have insane drawbacks, not sure... looking at them I feel disappointed in all honesty. I spam meteor on my mage a lot so naturally I would go for the monster...But the slow attack speed and loss of intel is eh, still good though. Fatal looks great...ah decisions decisions

 

i'm not sure how this relates to monster, as the wand is anti-water. If you want to spam meteor go for any of the other mythic wands besides warp (and pure)

personally i'd suggest fatal because of its high damage output

 

Pure: LOL
Fatal: No drawbacks
Gaia: -Raw spell damage, which basically amounts to not a whole lot.
Lament: -Life steal is irrelevant and the -strength does nothing, since you probably won't have a whole lot (if any) anyway.
Warp: Yes ok this is just a gimmick.
Monster: -Intel, somewhat bothersome.

In what way do these wands have huge drawbacks, they have next to none, especially when compared to the daggers.

 

Well, we're getting a mythic balance next update so some of the best mythics will get weaker most likely.

 

obviously pure is the best wand, its the only wand that, umm, well, we can make memes with it so it is the best wand

no it doesn't, it has meh damage
also warps damage isn't insane either

 

i'd personally vote for both lament and fatal, because imo, melee just doesnt work with mage (for me anyway), spell usage is the embodiment of being a mage, and lament & fatal are just perfect for that, i would prefer fatal over lament, but both would be the best for a mage.
their damage and their identifications have no effective drawback to a mage at all, they are op, but they surely come with an expensive price tag.
