I have done a loot run at least once a day for pretty much the past year, but have found no mythics and have not increased my economic position enough to justify the time I have spent lootrunning. To put it into statistics, I have opened 12000+ chests, but have not gotten a single mythic and have only earned 4 stacks of le. I have little market knowledge and often have trouble selling the good items that I do get. What should I do/should I stop lootrunning?

Depends on where you're running. Sky Islands, Ice Canyon, Dernel Jungle and Corkus are the only viable places to loot run as far as I know.

Use loot bonus, and try to find servers that are about to restart. Both increase the amount of loot you get.

Alright. Then watch the times when the servers restart, if it's close to restarting the loot becomes a lot better. Use this. The highest listed servers are the oldest, run on those.

When you've done all that it's just up to luck. I've done my fair share of loot running, never found much either.

Wait ice canyon is actually a viable loot run? What level is the loot there, because I’ve been trying to hunt a certain piece of armor there using the player-level based chests.

There's a lot of chests that aren't affected by mobs there, so the loot depends on your level. If you're looking for endgame gear I recommend level 96 (92-100 items), but if mythics are more important go level 95 (91-99 items). This way you can find Hero as well.

I meant the chests that are affected by the mob level. I’ve been thriving off a few tier 3s/ the 2 tier 4s trying to hunt a level 50 ish item. I’m not actually that high level yet.

Well there's not a lot of chests affected by mobs there. But, if you want level 50-ish items, go run there with a level 50 class. You'll get items in the range of 46-54.

Here's some advice from me, I have done a lot of loot run, and luck can be good or bad.

    - Open the first few chests in your loot run, if the loots are all bad, this means the rest of the loots in the loot run will be bad. Bad here means the amount of loot is very little (Small amount of emeralds, potions, Normal Tier items, no Rare no Legendary). If this happens, change server and restart your loot run.
    - Go to a server that has 40+ people during peak hours, it means the server is somewhat old enough to have good loot. New servers will not have a lot of good loot.
    - If you met someone using your loot route during your loot run, it means he has likely looted the stuff you are about to loot. Consider changing server, or do loot run somewhere else.
    - Some good looting places: Molten Height, Sky Island, Corkus, Lusuco, Dernel Jungle.
    - Establish your own loot route. I have a loot route that goes from Light Forest to Kandon Beda via Molten Height, from there I can continue to Corkus (Hot Air Balloon in Kandon Beda goes to Corkus)
    - Surrounding mobs will change the level of the loot chest content. If you want loot around your level, kill the mobs first. If you want loot at specfic level (example Level 40 loot but you're a Level 90 player), then leave the mobs there and open the chest, the mobs will not attack you when you're looting a chest.

this can cause problems if it then says "You must wait [up to 15 minutes] for this chest" [in this case it would be tier three]
