Some Dagger Questions

Ok so I see lvl 50s saying their weapon is like 25-45 DMG, but they kill better than me. How? If my weapon does 170 neutral and theirs does like 34 how are they so much better, what do they do that makes their weapon good even though its trash neutral

 

1. Attack speed (the higher the attack speed the higher your dps output, but usually higher attack speeds have lower base damage)
2. Elemental damage. They say they have 34 neutral damage, maybe they have a lot of elemental damage?
3. Skillpoints. Strength and dexterity both increase your damage, and next to that putting skillpoints in the respective element will increase your elemental damage (for example, if you have earth damage putting points into strength will increase your earth damage).
4. Ids. They may have higher damage ids than you do.
5. Powder specials. They may have activated courage or curse.

I hope this helps. There's a lot of different things that determine how much damage you deal.
