Door Of Time Suggestion/prediction

Intro:
Time Travel in Wynncraft is... interesting... you can see the dark forest before it was the dark forest, you see what happened to A burned mansion, the history of the house of twain, why Christmas is no longer on selcher, and much, much more... now, lets get to the door of time.

The Idea:
We know that in time valley time moves slower, and this is most likely because of the door of time, slowly yet surely, it opens... slowing down time valley from the other world, and once it opens all the way, what will we find inside? nothing, that's what, because it isn't a door, its a portal, a TIME portal!

For What And Why?
You never know why happened in that past, (well, you kinda do, but you've never been back in time for long) such as, where did all the ruins come from? how did ancient nemract become ancient? what was skiens island like when he was alive? what more about dead island do we not know about, if anything at all! how long did corkus take to be created? and much, much, MUCH more to be found out, wars, buildings, boats, POTATOS!

That's bout' it:
that's just an idea I had for the door of time, what do you think? do you think I'm right? do you think if it'd be cool if you could do this? or do you thing I had little bit too much beer? lemme know! Bye!

Where did all the ruins come from?
The undead and corruption, basically. People used to live in the houses, the undead killed the people and the houses were destroyed by the passing of time/the undead tearing them down.
How did ancient nemract?
I'm guessing your talking about the invasion of it here, as the original point makes very little sense. Basically, the miners who dug too deep into the roots of corruption started being chased by the undead armies, they ran back to the old nemract (who I think had a good military back then. I don't know for sure though so don't quote me. @SPYROHAWK is that right, and the rest of my answer?). The undead took over the city, people ran away, built a new city a hundred metres away (y tho?).
What was Skiens island like before he died?
This one's difficult. Eh, iirc the lore is basically that he was a dictator, there were people who were really loyal, people who wanted to overthrow him, people who liked paintings. He wanted to get rid of all the paintings and took a random cow prisoner. I don't know much lore to do with Skiens.
What did dead island look like before it was dead?
Have you done the quest Haven Antiquity? You literally see and explore the island before it 'died', cus some dude drugs you and tries to kill you when you figure out his secret. The wiki (and I think the quest book) actually calls the past island Alive Island, and it's quite a nice looking island actually. Everything is very green, as opposed to a Kander Forest-esque island like it is presently. The present day island is somewhat Dernic, I believe, as the egg is presumably Dernic in origin, and the ender men that spawn round it are called Dern Residents iirc.

I don't really know much about Corkus' creation.

Umm... Half of those things are already answered

Ruins - stuff destroyed by the undead forces

Ancient Nemract - once again, even more clearly stated in the lore than the first point, it was destroyed by the army of the dead right after the portal was first opened

Dead Island - You actually see that in the quest...

Corkus - Doesn't it say somewhere in the lore?

Skeins Island - I avoided mentioning this one, because what actually happened ton Skiens island is something I don't actually know, and am still looking into



But, overall, no, I HIGHLY doubt they will build EVERYTHING again, just to shove the player into the past

2) Yes, except for the military part. I think it IS mentioned that Nemract had a military, It was around the same Size as Almuj's, but got almost completly wiped out later. We know Almuj has/had a little underground war with Nessak, so I assume that also had/has a military? But lets be honest, none of the militaries were as big as Troms and Ragni. If I remember correctly, they didn't run to Nemract due to it's military (although that could have been a reason). Since Detlas was not built until AFTER the corruption started, I'm pretty sure it's just that Ancient Nemract was the nearest city, and where all the miners lived (don't quote me, I feel like Nessak might be closer).

3) That's because there is very little lore. He was a villager-hating human dicator, until SOMETHING happened. Everyone died, and then came back to life. But, they wern't undead. They were something else that I am still struggling to make sense of.

4) Basically, but they are called Dern Beasts or something

 

Well of course the door is a portal, you think they’ll fit all of time in a mountain?

 

1: you got on the ruins part, I just wanna see what they looked like, ya know?

2: personally, if its only in the lore or on the wiki, I wont believe it, I gotta see it with my eyes in-game to believe it, if its only said on wiki or the lore (EVEN IF ITS WRITEN BY THE MAKER THEMSELF) I wont believe it, going by the IHE destiny 2 thing is the video he made (look it up and it might make a little more sense where I'm coming from) (also if is said in-game/shown in-game then I wrote all this for nothin)

I don't believe it was written in-game, only the Forums by Grian (I have the source, but am too lazy to go check for it rn). I don't understand why you wouldn't believe something said by the creators themselves though...

Not just the terrain, but EVERYTHING. Buildings, lore, quests, mobs, npcs, etc...

And, you forget, as much as I love the Wynn Team, they do take a LONG TIME to do things (because they want to be sure they are doing it right). 2-4 days tops is WAY of an understatement. How long did Gavel take? 3 years? And then the next major update after that took 1 year I think? You get the point. Expect MINIMUM 8 months...

I assume you know who I am. The theory dude. My "thing" is kind of trying to figure this stuff out, even if (as it is in some cases) the theory is very loose and no more than a starting point. What bothers me with Skeins is that I don't even have a starting point, which makes it even more infuriating and interesting. So yeah, I have no clue what's going on there, and no one I've talked to has any clue either...

1:like I said, watch the video ('I HATE DESTINY 2' by IHE) and you might understand (a little) of where I'm coming from, but I'll try my best to say what I want, I want games to be told by the world, the quest, the dialog! (but mostly quests an the land) if the creator or writer (in this case grain) were to just say the WHOLE LORE OF WYNNCRAFT in posts, then that just lazy writing, but if he's just answering what's already answered, then its fine and he just point them to where they need to go, but if he were to just say something THAT HASNT BEEN TOLD IN THE MAIN GAME (yet) then that's just being lazy, but in this case, he doesn't do that, grain, salted, julma and the whole wynnteam are wise, and don't do that kind of stuff (I hope at least) hope that made sense

2: I knew I had too much fate in them, well it was nice to think about it (or maybe that's why its taking so long?)

3: sorry to break it to you bro, but I have no clue of who you are, but now that know I your, 'the theory dude' I just wanna say that I hope you find out the whole of the lore of wynncraft!

Thinking about how Wynn was in the past reminded me of the story of The Great Bridge, an NPC in Troms talks about a battle that happened there in the past involving the Army of Troms which was lead by Skien before he went mad. And also gives a key to access a crypt under the bridge that sadly hasn't been released yet.
I also wonder if there's any connection between the Door of Time and that big structure in the surface of the Molten Heights. Both are colossal ruins, both have large broken teleporters and are located in opposites sides of the map.
Great theory btw, I really hope they add something related to the Time Valley in the future.

 

You're very likely correct. Yes, it's on forum, but likely it will be shown through the world, as you've said. That said, those forum posts are the best source we have, until they are reaffirmed by the world. That is why @SPYROHAWK wishes you to look at them.

However, I don't think The Door of Time, as important as it may be, will be how we experience all these events. Perhaps it may affirm things we learned before it through the rest of the world, but it won't be how we learn. I think this because putting all the information into that portal for players to learn would just be an underwhelming dump, even if they make you experience the events physically.

I believe the Door of Time will likely have much more to do with the Corrupted Dungeons than anything else.
