Dungeons And Dragons

Anyone here play D&D? I have 3 questions for you:
1. Do you play as DM or a PC?
2. What class/race/lvl are you?
3. What has been your favorite D&D experience?

BTW the D&D online DOESN'T COUNT as D&D and neither do any other tabletop games.
Also if you haven't heard of D&D then read the basic rules by searching for D&D basic rules on google. It's really fun if you can get your friends into it.

There are two D&D games going on in the "forum games" session right now. I'm in one of them, as a Human Bard 2.

In terms of the world of fleshy meatbags, I recently started playing in a new campaign. In it, I'm currently a Half-Elf Sorcerer 3.
(Both games are 5E)

As for memorable experiences in either campaign, there was one in the forum game where we were fighting some cultists who had kidnapped a man. I (the most fragile member of the team) got thrown 15+ feet into a wall. Rest of the team got taken out in different ways, and eventually the kidnapped guy (he was a paladin) freed himself and bailed us out.

In terms of IRL, there was that time the party sneaked up onto 3 sleeping bandits, and I snuffed out their lives with a flame strike, one after the other. In the throat, too, so that they couldn't scream.
90% sure the party is afraid of me now

 

1. I mostly DM. In particular, I participate in two campaigns on the forums. I DM for one here, and the other is DMed by @SPYROHAWK.
2. In Spyro's campaign, I play as a Level 5 Gnomish Eldritch Knight (spellcasting fighter subclass).

To my knowledge, I started the first DnD campaign on the forums (and I DM it), so I hope my responses are helpful.

@Death Knight @Florfy5 @AlexisPlay @Paradoxical @Linwood Welheart @Nem @bluepenguin1002 and @Enhanced_Human are all players in an online campaign I DM on the forums. It's the second biggest Forums Games thread IIRC. Death Knight DMs an overflow campaign (as 8 people is already a big enough group for the main campaign), and since that's also more or less full we're trying to get Nem to DM an overflow overflow campaign.

In the main campaign, everyone is level 5.

There's also AT LEAST 3-5 more mini-campaigns that take place in convos.

IRL I play DnD (obviously, being the DM of the first DnD campaign on the forums). I have A LOT of characters, but I always seem to end up playing Warlock. Most of my characters I don't get to play as a PC end up as NPCs when I DM.

Honestly, I've had a lot of great experiences. A wizard using an animated door as a shield, basically ALL of AlexisPlay's shenanigans, Florfy5's just general reaction to literally anything that has to do with AlexisPlay, a player who was secretly a werewolf stealing an orb that controls the sun/moon in the demiplane they were in to avoid a full moon from coming, just... a lot of great times.

I've spent more time DMing the online campaign than I have playing and/or DMing IRL campaigns, so although you say "online DnD doesn't count" oh yes it does, let me just tell you, you get equally great experiences out of it. (Unless you meant like a DnD Videogame like Neverwinter, yeah no, f*ck that sh*t)

1. I'm a PC, storytelling is not my thing.
2. Irl, I'm a level 5 wood elf cleric. Monk and Cleric are my favorite classes.
3. I actually don't know. Some of the best things happened before I joined the campaign, like [CENSORED TO AVOID BAN]
