Question About Skill Points

In the wiki, it says strength doesn't work with crit and defense doesn't work with dodge
Does that mean base damage can crit while the part strength added will not, or does that means it you crit strength will not come into effect what so ever?
And the crit, defense thing, I have no idea what that means.
Do the high agility and defense warrior build still work?

I also have a few questions that's not related to skill points:
What do you do with excess legends, cause they are expensive to identify and they item buyer buy them for little to none.

I'm in this server for two weeks and am having a blast so far, it's the first mc MMO server that's not broken nor pay to win.

 

When you crit it will be like you have 0 strenght skill points,
When you dodge you don't take damage at all.

 

The affects STR and DEF provide are negated when DEX or AGI are triggered. DEF decreases dmg taken. No damage taken, then def is irrelevant. STR increases damage output by a % based on amount of SPs. STR's +dmg% is ignored when a crit is delt. A crit is also known as an 'on DEX' attack. On DEX means you deal x2 damage. You can see it here:
The neutral and fire damage the bow (Plague) deals is doubled for the attack. The damage you deal on this attack will vary between the two numbers listed for every element and neutral damage you see in game, but multiplied by 2. 500*2 to 875*2 etc. That is why STR is ignored. It just multiplies the item's base damages.
