Attack Speed +/- And Dps Change

Ok, so currently I'm wearing the Mummy's Rag for a Chestplate which raises my attack speed tier by one. Does this mean that the amount of damage I do stays the same, but how quickly I attack increases, or does the amount of damage I do scale down accordingly with the attack speed to keep my DPS the same. Basically, does attack speed +1 increase DPS?

Ok. Isn't that unbalanced though, because then you can octuple the dps of certain weapons.

 

Just wait till you get to high levels....

 

Are you talking about the ridiculous ids of high level stuff?

 

What he means is that there are some endgame weapons like flameshot hilt and Alkatraz with ridiculous base damage, but super slow attack speed. When items such as chestplate of ineptitude, cancer, centipede, etc. were added, people found a way to abuse them to get ridiculous dps.

 

Who needs 100% earth damage when you can add 700% damage with attack tiers.

 

Exactly. However the team is working on a way to balance it.

 

Everybody! Because then that 100% earth damage stacks with that 700% damage with attack tiers, effectively making it 1400%!
To be honest though, I'm sorta defensive of tier abuse. Probably because I do it, but who knows?
