Guide Can't Join Wynncraft? Problems Logging In? - Solution

After some questioning of the Wynncraftian peoples. I have discovered:

Many people (My self included) struggled/struggle to log on to Wynncraft's actual servers (Not the lobby.)
Internet does not play a role in this.

What is causing the issue is the Resource pack (As far as I am aware). When you select a server, the game wants to load the resource pack every time. That takes a while. And you can get "Timed Out"

What I devised to combat this is listed below in steps.
(This has nothing to do with Salted's thread btw.)

Step 1: Use Minecraft version 1.8 when playing Wynncraft. When you log on for the first time in 1.8 it will auto download the Wynn resource pack for you in the lobby. (If it doesn't download after a while, then try to join server.) If you already play on 1.8 - Continue and read the steps below.

Step 2: Now that the resource pack is downloaded, exit minecraft. Open your minecraft folder, and open "server resource packs" folder. There you should see the wynnpack. If you have multiple folders with random text/code, or other server resource packs - ignore them. You should identify the wynnpack resourcepack by it's normal name, and the date. The date being when you downloaded it. (If you already play in 1.8 - It may be a while ago.)

Step 3: Upon locating the pack, copy and paste it from you "server resource packs" folder - to your normal "resource packs" folder. Fix the name of the file to end with ".zip" just in case. This will allow you to enable to wynnpack before attempting to log into a server!

Step 4: Ok. So now open up minecraft, select resourcepacks, select the Wynnpack. You should see a change in the Gui. This means it is now enabled. Then, join the Wynn lobby and select a server! If it doesn't work the first time don't worry. Maybe you just lagged out, or the server was full.

Note: I cannot guarantee this to work for you. This fixed the problem for me. Now I can join everytime. With near 100% success rate.

BTW: 1.8 may not be part of Wynncraft for much longer

Idk, when 1.8 gets scrapped, but if it does, you should still be able to use the pack... I'm pretty sure anyway. If you can't you could try doing this trick in 1.9

Also enhanced does what you said but dynamically, aka as soon as a new rp is released it updates it, no need for loading it when joining a world, no annoying chat spam cuz we spoof the resourcepack ^^

 

Well yes. It does. But no. I have good internet. And the people I talked to experiencing the problem had even better internet. So in this particular case.

Funny thing... It doesn't.

When it comes to "Enhanced" you need curse/twitch for that. And that's windows only currently. Also there was the thing where Salted shut it down.

 

Maby like this, that specific case can be caused by multiple things, one being pc power, one being internet speed, one being weird router configs etc etc

 

I think to someone who reads the guide, the issue they are having would be clear to them. People know when they have good internet. And this fixes the problem .
