What Powders Do You Use In Terms Of Abilities? Why?

On all my wands, I always put enough water powders on it to give the Curse effect.

But I just realized, I have never tried any of the other weapon powder effects, Nor any of the armor effects.

So, what do you use on your weapons and armor? Other than just the stat buffs powders give, do you put those powers in specific for the special abilities?

If so, which abilities do you like the best? Why?

This goes for both weapons and armor

People often put fire powders on fatal for courage

 

I like wind prison and chain lightning, personally

 

Courage can be op in most situations, but the others depend on your play style. I like quake personally

Here's my little review on powder specials:

Curse and Courage are the most OP weapon specials imo, and they're both very similar to each other as they both boost damage. The main difference between the two is that with courage, you can use your damage boost against any enemy, while with curse you have to "curse" them first before the damage effect takes place.

Quake is a little different as in contrast from courage and curse being damage buffs, quake is a powerhouse all in one hit. This powder special can be quite good as well.

Wind Prison is very useful at times, but it's not really that OP of a special. The main reason why I say that is because wind prison's main purpose is knockback instead of damage.(I know that it gives you a damage boost, but it only takes effect when the enemies are in the vortex of wind)

Chain Lightning was always the most hated special, and I agree with the hate. It's completely useless in PvBoss, unless your build relies on life/mana steal.

Now, Armor specials. I haven't tried all of them, from what I've seen the damage buffs you get from them don't matter that much, but the most useful ones are rage and endurance. Kill Streak is again useless in PvBoss, except for maybe in cybel/wybel's room, but even then you won't be able to penetrate their defense with a thunder weapon unless you have a cataclysm.

I get that the thunder powder specials were meant to be crowd control utilities, which is a concept I like, but that doesn't change the fact that it doesn't do shit in PvBoss.

And I figured the most cancerous thing would be to use Cancer (there's an item named Cancer, right? I'm not going crazy?)

I originally used Wind Prison on one of my weapons before realizing that Wind Prison isn't very good, so I was going to use Chain Lightning on my next weapon with enough powder slots and put my tier 6 air powders into my armour.

 

Fire because constant damage buff OP

 

Courage generally boosts damage so is well rounded, I like quake because I can literally kill everyone with 10 blocks. It make me feel powerful.
