Mana Steal?

I have a pretty high mana steal and I really cant see a huge difference. How does it work?

 

When you hit a mob it has a chance to fill your mana bar with the amount of mana steal you have. The chance to steal mana differs per attack speed, the higher your attack speed the lower the chance you get mana from meleeing a mob. It also works with certain spells (War scream, meteor, probably more) but as far as I know that's a bug. According to Salted all the chances have been balanced to make you hit mana steal for an average of 1 steal per 4 seconds.

 

Well mana regen is much better I guess

 

That depends a lot on your build. A lot.

 

What build does mana steal work with?

 

Most melee builds (mana for utility spells), or weapons like Lament.
