    Hello everyone!

It has been a bit since I posted any work in here, but I have something I am quite proud of and want your feedback! It is my interpretation of Dragonstone, a fortress built upon an island of obsidian (or dragon glass ;D):
. The idea was based off of this image, though I ended up straying from it a bit. Anyway, I would love to hear whether you think I should apply for CT! Here are screenshots of the build:

Very good build! nice use of the concrete for the mountains, interesting ideas .

The fire in the ship was a great detail, i'm a huge fan of that.

A nice amount of detail, though some more could be added, as you can see from wynn builds no 3 blocks without a slab or stair.

    So some critiscism:

the pic from reference [looks amazing gotta check it out]

Theres a front dragon head, that could be interesting to add into the wall or something,
the walls have some spiky things, or little pillars that reach outside of the wall a bit, I suggest bringing them out a bit more to make the walls a bit more detailed and not as flat.
The top of the walls also have some spiky spikes.

Interior looks nice, so does the boat. I'm not that much of a build person but that's my take on it!

Also: If you get some resource pack other than vanilla, it will GREATLY improve the visuals of the build, such as shading everything to be a bit darker or something, or shaders! Shaders make anything look nicer

or just post it at night!

    Great build!

As said above, a lot of things need more detail, such as the walls in your main city/fortress/whateveritis. They are very flat, and only have a little noise of varying blocks. The ship has a great shape and structure, but needs more detail. For example, how does one get from below deck to upper deck? What crates are the ship holding, how are the sails being held down by ropes? Here is an example of a ship I once made a while ago, before ct: https://imgur.com/eBidodb.

Again, these are great builds, and you have locked down the outer view of it, but when you come up close to the build, it really doesn't pop. I would like to see more variation in the shapes of the wall, rather than just straight up and down. Perhaps use cobblestone wall to create depth.

    Good luck, and great job!

Thanks for the feedback! Few responses:
    - There actually is a dragon head on the entrance ;)
    - The walls of the fortress do curve up to points at the ends, but I think some iron bars maybe could emphasize the spikes
    - The texture pack actually isnt vanilla - most of the textures you see there are a faithful 1.12 texture pack. I was thinking about doing it in shaders but it is sometimes hard to see and I thought it might not be best to post it that way

Sounds like generally I should add some depth to the walls - sounds like a plan
For the ship, I am going to do the deck next (it is incomplete at the moment)
    :D

Also guys I do want to ask you what you think of the terraforming? Since that was a main goal with this project (this is the first major terraforming project I have done with voxel sniper actually).

Nice, I'm glad you've gone for the non-TV-series version tho, because it's just lots it flat walls in the series
You deffinetly should apply for a builder

    ok Ima review that terrain
    WARNING roasting ahead

    ok so
-overall the terrain feels quite messy, especially on the right hand side mountain, use some b e smooth and some b bb in moderation

-try to avoid creating too many parallel block lines in the terrain, they make it look rigid and unnatural. Eg. a 10x1 strip next to a 11x1 strip

-the shape: the overall base shape for the mountains is nice but they feel weird at the bottom, you should try to give some very very slight overhangs, like 1 block out so it dosent create a completely convex stretched cone

-the texture: if you are trying to get into Wynn ct, don't use weird blocks in terrain, e.g. Too much stained clay can make it feel unnaturaly smooth, usually the ct will use splatters rather than direct /b b mm (< this can be used at some times though)
i would recommend breaking up the sphere shapes you can see throughout the texture and use smaller brush sizes to add small detail

    Ok that's my review
(Sorry if I roasted too hard :) )

Ok , i'm no expert, but i have a few problems with it.
    1. Terrain seemed a bit to smooth. add more variety, more cliffs or overhangs, maybe just a few smaller hills, or just more jagged peaks;
    2. Too small. The castle exterior and interior seemed small. in general it felt too small to me, especially compared to original image.
    3. dragon seemed flattened, like it had been smushed into three blocks of thickness.
    4. add ice around the island. it's supposed to be a snowy scene, right? then why is there no ice around? maybe just use /b sb cm, /v ice, and /vr water to replace a bunch of water with ice.
    5. too much other stuff on mountains. it's good to texture mountains with stone brick or something, but it seemed like just clay. no stone. what i tend to do is using //replacenear 100 stone 85%stone,10%cobblestone,3%stained_hardened_clay:9,2%stone_bricks to replace a little bit of stone, but keeping the stone the star of the show, instead of hiding it. also went a bit crazy w/ snow on top of mountains
    6. theming, it's supposed to be a sort of mystic snowy dark place, but the castle looks like a happy cartoon drawing. it seems chaotic, try to make it all similar.

sorry, just nitpicking a bit. other than that, very nice.

Thanks @Snerp - good to hear feedback from a terrain expert.
@FanceDance there actually is a lot of stone in the mountains btw
