When I replied to your post earlier, I was focusing more on the general idea of having a banlist and how much of a bad idea it is in concept, rather than if it upsets you or not.

It's a good thing we already have another mod then.

You could also act like you're not a five year old and accept that NOT EVERYBODY LOVES YOU. You don't have to "punish" them for that.
Denying access to a PUBLIC mod for PRIVATE reasons. That's immature, especially since people apparently just don't like his mod. Sure, if people send death threats or some shit, then I understand, but this is just silly.

Sure, the banlist is a savage feature, I just don't think it should affect the judgement of those who aren't even affected by it.
With that said, I pray to god it's bugfree.

I don't really know you, only know of you because of the wynn enhanced, but after everything I have read about you lately and how you have acted, I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you with anything you decide now to make.

Alright. It's time to simmer down, everyone. The discussion here is about the possible creation of an armor skin modpack. Enough has been said about the previous drama, already, that I'm asking that you all return to the topic of the possibility of armor skins being used again; that is, the pros and cons of that idea.

[Disclaimer: I'm not neutral on the subject of the previous drama, but it needs to not be carried on in here, anymore.]
    Thanks.

This system isn't really a modpack (Except the fact that it uses Optifine.)

They where to much for the skin servers. They couldn't handle so much change in so little time. They where also holding back item creation since one skin per item was too much.

It's a client side Wynn pack which uses Optifine's CIT to apply custom textures to items with a certain name (ex. when the name is §bShinespark, it will look like this:)
    upload_2017-10-10_6-36-13.png
and let you have a different texture over the head rather than a normal chain armor.

The original armor skins, I would say, was leaked too soon (notice "may have") and is not a confirmed addition of this pack.

No, this will not be Wynn Enhanced related.

No, I heard that Mojang didn't like what Wynncraft was doing with the skins (loading, editing, loading again) and asked salted to shut it down. They could still use MCPatcher, my personal opinion is that they havent started it up because
    • Too much work for every single item
    • They don't want mods to give people extra
Oh, and I don't think Mojang is the one loading the skins, but i can't be too sure.

The only mod needed with this is optifine. (I feel like I just repeated myself, thanks.)

This is doable without optifine or any mod for that fact, just like weapon skins you can change armour textures depending on the damage values, but that has to be done on wynn's side

You could just include an optional add-on resourcepack with your mod, and then setting damage values for client side while preventing the durability indicator to be displayed. The only limitation to this is that the damage value (as far as I know) mustn't be higher than the actual item durability (unless the damage value can be below 0 which makes you good to go)

that would take x10 as much effort as doing it the optifine way
