Mage/Dark Wizard Insane Mage Melee Build (up To Nearly 15k Dps)

Some questionable armour and accessory pieces, I know. Lemme explain.

Obviously Centipede and CoI for the attack speed bonus and melee damage.
Vaward for skill skill points, melee damage, and good health.
Heartbreak for attack speed bonus, dexterity, and thunder damage.
Diamond Fusion Rings for elemental defense, raw health, and some melee.
Megabyte for elemental defense and damage, and raw health.
Finally, Diamond Static Necklace for attack speed bonus, dexterity, and thunder damage.

This build can do insane damage getting up to almost 15k damage per second, and possibly even more depending on what powders are used for the armour pieces. And this build also isn't completely a glass cannon, as it has about 10k base health, and okay elemental defense. Some bonus stats are the decent walk speed, reflection, and thorns. To solo anything like LI or Orange Wybel, just chug some defense pots, and you're good to go.

Thoughts?

 

Fire Defense is too low, it's not too hard to make it positive either.

 

Eh. Who cares about rainbow slap defence anyways. Gj on not using Any Hive items to make this. ESPICIALLY GAEA.
Some nice dps, hp is a bit low tho. Not much healspam, so would probably work Better with warrior as it has Better defences.

 

Sure it's good dps, but you'll need A LOT of healing pots. 0/4s mana regen and shitty intel means rare heals, and your def/health is too shit. Even a defense pot can't fix that. If I were you I'd sacrifice some dps for mana regen or walk speed.

 

I'd recommend switching boots to fermion/(latency) (you only need +4tier which you have with centi+coi)
and also switching rings prisms/moon pool cirklets for mana reg (= more mana reg)
Necklace can be changed to (you don't need the +tier attack speed)

 

10k base health isn't too bad, then 16k with a defense potion does just fine. And wynndata is sometimes wrong when it comes to the elemental defense, because I use this build in game (to solo LI), and each element is in the positives.

Yes I do need the extra attack speed from the boots and necklace. There's a huge difference in dps between fast attack speed and super fast attack speed. And I can't use fermion because of skill point requirement, and it also gives negative melee damage. And I decided not to use prisms because of the the negative health they give. I wanted to have at least 10k health.

Forgot to mention, I also use Bonder as a secondary weapon, so that helps with mana regen.

 

Nvm, thought compiler was slow attack speed.
Still build is too glassy in my opinion :/ (Give up some dmg for def)

 

What tells you wynndata is wrong? Don't say you're looking at the compass, it's broken asf. And even if they are positive, still not good enough to sustain with what little mana you have. Bonder might help.

 

Having completely different elemental defensive stats in game than the website tells me wynndata is wrong. And with defense potions, I've survived multi hits from death metal and doctor legendary, and even being pulled in by the cores on cybel. When low on health, I just quickly switch to Bonder, teleport away, and heal up. There's enough mana regen to do that.

 

Okay, but how do you KNOW that the stats are completely different? Works fine for me.

If you're looking at your stats on the ingame compass, it lies. It is broken and probably not getting a fix any time soon, it's been that way for over a year now.
The build looks nice though, new ideas are always welcome. Is it glassy, sure, but it also has really high damage and it seems to be tanky enough to survive in PvE.

 

I'm not intending to "start an argument", but you're not exactly showing any proof or argumenting why WynnData would be incorrect. I'd like to know, so I can tell Dukio (the owner of WynnData), then he can fix it.

 

Just calculate the elemental defenses by hand by the correct formula, raw elemental defense × percentage elemental defense (100% = ×2 etc.) for each element individually, simple as that. No way to fail there.
Therefore...

no, your fire defense is not positive, it is exactly the negative -171 (considering all your items had the best possible stats). Centipede has -250 raw fire defense. Your rings give 30 fire defense each. This leaves you at -190. Add the 10% fire defense you have from Megabyte, you'll end up with negative 171...
UNLESS you stack your armour with fire powders, that way you might be able to get that to positive as well.

All the other elemental defenses are positive though.

A few months back percentage defense used to be glitched and it actually made negative raw worse, but apparently that's been fixed now.

 

Ah okay, thank you for the clarification. I was looking at the compass in game, didn't know it was glitched, my bad. In that case, yeah, maybe putting fire powders on the armour could help the fire defense situation, and endurance is a good ability.
