What Is The Country Of Wynncraft?

Like seriously, Wynn and Gavel are provinces of what country? Will we ever get a different country? I know the build team is overworked, but that would be really cool. This is a complete shot in the dark, as we have no information whatsoever. Feel free to speculate here.

It probably works differently, I don't really think there is a "country" but rather the provinces acting as such. Gavel has its own government, so has Wynn. So I think they aren't dependent on one regime.

 

The Content Team just use the word province as the word country or continent.

 

In the world of Wynncraft, the term province does not refer to what we consider a province in real life.

but yes, the "provinces" of Wynncraft are basically just the real-world equivalent of countries. Due to lack of politics and governments and such, they're sort of an in-between. Each of the cities almost act like their own provinces in the country that is their "province," so everything's a bit weird.

 

Provinces in Wynncraft is like how society worked over a thousand years ago in Denmark.
Up until mid-end of the danish viking age, Denmark was ruled, not by one, but many kings scattered all over the country. Each ruled their own territory, and had their own laws and tax systems and all that. Just about how states in the US works now, except there was no head of these kings, and Denmark wasn't called Denmark, nor was it actually an actual country.

This also explains why Wynn, Corkus and Gavel is nothing alike, and Fruma behaves like they do. They have no ruler over the governments in the respective provinces.

Wynncraft might be catagorized as fantasy, but there are still things based on the real world's history.

so wynn gavel and corks and whatever other provinces are to come in the future are all part of their "individual" world, split up into many provinces obeying different laws and religions.

 

Actually I just watched a video of visiting the gate to Fruma and they mention "her majesty of Fruma" ... so yeah they're not related.

Just an FYI, even though your comment is topical, try to refrain from posting on threads that are older than a month.

Anyways, provinces are just a layer of government like how in the U.S. there are state governments and a federal government (supposedly) over them. In the real world, provincial governments are pretty much state governments, but in Wynn's case they act like countries/empires due to the scale of the game and the lack of politics/government.
