Media What Do Potions Taste Like?

Spoiler: For those who care

As of today, I've been on the wynncraft forums for a year!

Lets imagine you could reach into your computer screen and pull out a potion from wynncraft

Well, there isn't only one kind of potion. There are health, mana, skill, drunkenness, and zhight potions. There are five types of skill potions (Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Defense, Agility), and two types of zhight potions (Levels 45 and 65); and not to mention health potions are divided up every 5 levels (from level 5 to level 100). My main take away from this entire paragraph is, what would a potion taste like?

Here is what I think these potions would taste like

• Health: Would probably taste sweet, almost like pink lemonade. The higher the level, the stronger the sweetness gets
• Mana: Same as health; would also taste sweet, but like blueberry.
• Strength: I can see a strength potion tasting like vegetable juice (V8).
• Dexterity: Definitely like Gatorade, lemon to be exact. Gatorade is the salty/sweet crap athletes drink to replenish their electrolytes. Electrolytes = Electricity = Thunder
• Intelligence: I honestly have no clue, tell me what you think
• Defense: Like hot sauce, the higher the level the spicier it gets
• Agility: Like carbonated water (Seltzer), the higher the level the more carbonated it gets
• Drunkenness: Like cruddy rum/booze. Enough said
• Zhight/Wisdom: I honest to god have no clue what these would taste like. But my best guess would be some sort of melon/grape juice

Zight potions.

I'm guessing they'd be extremely bitter, perhaps with a slight bit of sweet.
Ya see, they're referred to as "Zight Tea" by the guy that brews them, and the leaves are quoted as smelling "...rancid. Almost threw them off me ship."

As for intelligence potions... Does college level ramen count?Yea okay maybe not

 

Health: Sweet, not necessarily a flavor, just Sweet.
Mana: Water. 'Bout it.

All of the skillpoint potions don't really have a taste, they have more of a feeling you get when you drink them.

Strength: When drunken it would feel drinking grass (think the feeling of your feet swishing through grass, but in your mouth) accompanied by a feeling of pure might.

Dexterity: When drunken it would feel like drinking electricity (like the feeling of getting zapped, but without pain, and in your mouth) accompanied by a feeling of erratic and uncontrollable rage

Intelligence: When drunken it would feel like, well, water, but less than water. You would feel it in your mouth, but it wouldn't adhere to any surface, simply swishing down into your stomach, without a drop remaining. After drinking, you would feel your thoughts sharpen, and see every possible scenario that could play out on the battlefield.

Defense: When drunken it would feel like the intense heat and fury of fire, but without the pain of fire, accompanied by a feeling of being able to take the most powerful blow any being could throw at you.

Agility: When drunken it would feel as if you were drinking a gas. You would feel it pour into your mouth, but at the same time, you wouldn't feel anything. It would be accompanied by a feeling of your senses heightening, and a sure swiftness unlike a normal human.


Zhight potion: When you first drink the Zhight potion, nothing happens at first. The strange potion tastes like nothing, and you feel a little odd, nothing more. And then suddenly you feel as though your mind had been smashed by the tail of Ozoth, and thrust into the very fabric of space and time itself. You see everything that has, is, and will happen. You see the unseeable forces that control this land and beyond, and you feel as though your mortal mind will simply shatter into non-existence...

...Then you wake up a level higher than you previously were, in some cave in the Troms Jungle.


That's my thoughts of what the potions would taste like.

Water. It tastes like water.

Health: A nice herbal/berry mixture that feels like a soft hug.
Mana: A sort of fishy brain tonic that has a kick to it; an acquired taste.
Strength: Like earthy lemongrass juice.
Dexterity: Coffee.
Intelligence: The taste would vary, but it'd be like flavored water.
Defence: Hot minty chocolate. It burns your tongue, but it wouldn't taste as good if it didn't.
Agility: Red Bull/Any Energy Drink.
Drunkenness: Whiskey. ("Nemract Whiskey")
Zhight/Wisdom: Like a very strong herbal tea with a strong kick if you smell it. Best consumed warm while looking out at a sunset.

second considering the primary ingredient according to my own fan fictions are wybels, does this mean that diffrent colored wybels taste like random fruits..

Health potion: Something comforting, dependent on the drinker. Not even necessarily the flavour of a drink, just your favorite flavour. You never get tired of it.

Mana potion: Herbal, with a strong minty twist. Leaves a bit of an aftertaste.

Drunkenness potion: Depends where the potion comes from; each town has their own different brew.

Wisdom potion: Cloyingly sweet. Lingers in your mouth for way too long.

Strength potion: Bitter, like drinking grass. Generally unpleasant.

Dexterity potion: Extremely sour. You need to practice to even hold it down.

Intelligence potion: Strong seltzer water, or a straight tonic. Difficult to drink due to the carbonation being the only real flavor.

Defense potion: Scaldingly hot cocoa. Burns your mouth, but it just isn't the same if it doesn't.

Agility potion: Sweet and sugary like a juice pouch. Reminds you of being a kid again.

 

I would fucking splurge on potions if thats what they actually tasted like

 

And then I realize that I drank all of those at once on multiple occasions
