What counts as a relevant post?

 

I'd say a relevant post would be something like the OP updating people on the thread's status/the status of the item the thread represents, or someone contributing something to the thread that fits with it's purpose (aka posting a meme in a thread about memes)

 

Like something like " no, you forgot part [example] about [example]! It is actually [example], not [example]
Basicly it doesnt read
"Bump"

 

Necro should apply to only those threads that haven't been bumped "in a while" while containing outdated, not relevant anymore, information.
If you bump a thread with the last post made e.g. 6 months ago, but the thread theme/topic/information is still relevant to this day, then that's not a necro and should not be treated as one. There is no sense to create another similar thread when one already exists with correct information.

I think that age doesn't really matter with necros. If the thread is dead and should stay dead then it is a necro. If the thread is dead and shouldn't be then it is a revival and not a necro. If the thread is irrelevant it is already dead to me.

 

In that case replying to a shitpost should count as a necro

But nah, if a thread hasnt been replied to in a significant amount of time then it's a necro

 

No but if you reply to a shitpost in the wrong section it would be a necro.
