SPOILER Corkus Secret ?

I can't tell if this's like a secret or just a set-up for future quest or is it just there for lo
i was doing loot runs on corkus and came across this house that have some waird commands blocks on it
here's how the room looks like:

you enter this place by this elevator:

then there's this sign with "recalibrate" written on it:

and this item frame with temperature on it:

I've also came across it (no clue what it is though). But it's not the only strange occurence: If you go from there back to Corkus City and turn right just before u enter you will find a lake with some mechanical gears around it. There are various buttons and if you press all of them the lake and the surrounding area sink down by a couple blocks. (I might post pics/cords later)

 

First picture kind of reminds me of those cables you have to repair in ???

This was found on the first day (Like many things of Corkus) but like many things of Corkus, the purpose is still unknown.
