SPOILER Creeper Data File And Origionation Theory

Somebodies gotta takeover from Mular5, eh?

Ignore the part above, it was just a futile attempt at a joke... I do not intend to make Data Files like Mular5 did, nor will I say from Kaelan5 after every message, this is the one and only Data File from me, because something spiked my interest:

"They are Mythical In this Region"
And:

"To Prove Creepers exist is Wynn"

Now that is past I just want to say that I am going to be skimping on the "Data File" Part of this thread, because @LordMuttonChops Coverered this subject in his thread "Everything We Currently Know About Creepers"
The Only reason that I am doing part of a Data File at all, is because I would prefer to have everything that you need to know about Creepers here, so you can understand this theory to a larger capacity.
So here we go, right into the data file. It is not necessary to read this entire file, but if you find that something is missing in my Theory, please refer to this Data Gathering before commenting. (unless you are absolutely sure I am wrong)

Data File: Creepers
Preview:
Creepers are condsidered, and even called "Mythical Creatures" by several different lore stories, and NPC's.
What does this mean? It means that Creepers are known creatures, but they are dismissed as Children's Tales.

Appearance:

Walks upright, just like a man. Which means a strong back/spine, which possibly evolved to supper a large head, suggesting large brain size.

Locations:
Creeper Cave, Found in Pigman ravines. (Accesable With Creeper Mask)

Lost Sancuary Dungeon. (Accessable With Keys)


History:
Lore provided by Garoth, the NPC in Lost sancuary dungeon, (well, techincally the GM's) Proves to us that Creepers used to be a common sight in Wynn, altough it is unsure if they existed in Gavel.
[1/1] Garoth: See what I am able to do? Thousands of creepers used to live here, I decimated the whole species like it was nothing. No one can defeat the infernal heat of fire itself.
Of course a flaw in what I said above was 'Here' could be referring to the Sancuary itself, and not all of Wynn. But this is contradicted by the very existance of the RavineCreepers.
So lets make a little timeline here:

1000ish years ago: Creepers were very real, they did not have low population numbers, they were in the tens of thousands, supposedly.

????- Unknown time due to lore not revealing time of eremgence of the Lost Sancuary Dungeon- An oddity began to emerge near Time Valley that had nothing to do with the mysterious gate. A villain of great power was obscuring the natural order. He makes creepers extinct, possibly along with a few other species.

30ish years ago- A Scientist named Garull discoveres the Creepers and begins studying them.

Very Recently- The existence of Creepers is proven to a village, and possibly later on the whole province

Alright, I will be editing the data file a bit to clear up some inevitable questions, so hold your horses.
So let's go to the theory!
Unfortunatly I will be editing the theory to better it, but I have to go in literally 2 minutes, so I am just gonna put it in here roughly and glam it up tomorrow. (not saving for another time due to image issues)

THE THEORY:

The image above states that the creatures are mythical in this region. He doesn't even go so far to say they are mythical in this Province, or World.
What I take from this is that either Garull has a small vocabulary, or he know something that we don't...
That being that creepers exist somewhere else.
As far as I am certain Villagers aren't aware of the existance of Creepers inside the Lost Sancuary, due to that fact that that say that Garoth made the creepers extinct, and did not in fact keep them in his Dungeon.
So where do they live?
The Light Realm?
Or maybe they are still alive in the real world, today.
You can find Creeper heads scattered about in Gavel... A Sure sign that they still live.

Speculate below, and I will edit this with the completed version of my theory.
So sorry that I couldn't complete this in one go!

 

I will admit that I wrote the phrase "Creepers are mythical in this region" regarding the world of Wynn as being a separate region from other branches of the world of Minecraft. It's possible that they did live thousands of years ago before Garoth wiped them out to near extinction, but as Garull says, he has never seen them anywhere else within the entire realm of the Wynncraft server, implying that they are only known as a myth within the realm as a whole. The heads seen everywhere may branch from the "myth" and therefore have been made as decorations for structures and homes by humans/villagers (similar to how we, as humans, have sculptures or decorations of mythical things, like dragons).

Basically, Garull is saying that the creepers are a myth within the Wynncraft realm, but in other areas of Minecraft as a whole they exist as a flourishing species (which is technically true, since Minecraft itself became famous for the creeper symbol more so than other things).

(Yes, this is very confusing. But most of what I think up in my head is confusing, so...)

The Lost Sanctuary and creepers have always been a confusing part of the lore. The Sanctuary and its inhabitants have no origin and aren't referenced anywhere else. All I got out of it is that some creature made of fire was created by a goddess named Gaia (who's only mentioned in a weapon) and either killed her or fought her. He then went on to killing creepers for.... reasons.... and then recruited... lizard men? animals? from... somewhere.... to build and protect the Sanctuary during... um... a long time ago? And he just decided to stay there, for reasons? I like the area, it's just that the story makes zero sense because we have so little info.

 

You have to remember that Creeper Infiltration was a quest made early on in Wynn progress so it seems more disjointed than other "newer" quests that have been made. However, the Lost Sanctuary/Animal Dungeon used to be completely different (I did it early on last summer before Gameplay Update, and I hated it because of the timed parkour that required you to do three paths within about a minute) and didn't involve creepers or Garoth committing genocide on them. That was just recently added with the dungeon changes, and Garoth was actually completely new as a boss unlike other dungeons such as skeleton or spider dungeon.

That being said, creeper lore is very minimal but really has nothing to do with the main "story" behind corruption, Bob, and everything else important. It's simply a possible gimmick added way back to maybe give a game with no use for creepers a quest that actually includes them.

 

Maybe it has also something to do with the vanilla origination of Creepers? Because when Notch was making a model for pigs, he accidentally switched the Z and Y values of the body, which made a weird humanoid model with four legs, which he later used as a model for a new mob, creeper. There are also a lot of boars near Time Valley and Pigman Ravines, and maybe somehow the corruption/time gate had made some of the boars mutate either into Creepers or Pigmans?

The new dungeon and quest is definitely better than b4. I just think it would be kinda cool if they fleshed out references in the dungeon to other parts of game, especially the whole god/goddesses. For a fantasy MMORPG, there is surprisingly little info. about any gods or creators of the world, and they don't seem to be worshipped directly or play a pivotal role in the player's world. Sure, we have Orphion, Narageth, and the Bovemists, but the latter is just a little Easter egg while Orphion isn't even released and Narageth is just a demon. I know that the Main Storyline isn't released, but I'm just saying I would like to see more of this in the future.
