This is what I believed as well, but there's a contradiction because it is also stated that they lived 120 years ago and Mael trained Bob. I actually made two threads on this matter and eventually we agreed that they were around 120 years ago, because that's when the largest horde attacked Ragni, and more undead began coming out of the portal.

I think the lore just needs to be fixed, or at least made more clear on the matter. I believe that Mael did live before the Corruption sieges, because even though it is revealed that he died in the Grave Mistake quest that he died, his character still communicates with us. Also, after his training with Bob, when all of the Masters appeared in front of him in Troms and then disappeared (with no one else besides Bob being able to see them) can we really confidently say that that was a physical living Mael? Seeing as in Grave Mistake he's standing right in front of the gate (or a version of him, some sort of magic copy of him, whatever) despite being dead, I don't think that he was actually living during the training with Bob.

The sign explains that they escaped from wherever they came from using the Crystals, and that the Eye is "telling" them (whatever that means) to bring them back, along with other tidbits of information.

I'm not saying that the Twain brothers made the ancient ruins in the desert, if they did anything they simply just hid the crystal inside the ruins.

I do agree with no stable lore being there about the Twain brothers, and I don't think it helps with nothing in Wynn being 100% complete.

    Found this from forum surfing:

Now I agree someone scattered or hid them, but I dont think it was the twain brothers...

    unless...

Could this have been how they died? I'm making a third thread about the crystals tomorrow if I find time.

Honestly next theory will take a lot of brainstorming and putting together the pieces, because there is some contradicting stuff with what happened later when they left each other. (Some dude left for money, other dude dies, dunno what happened to third dude, mael stayed, screwed up, and turned into alem(actually might make another theory on mael and his grave))

If you don't believe the one in the ragni mines counts, in still mad at you for forgetting Volcano Island (Site D)

(Will continue to comment as I read)

Ok, I can believe this. Better than some other things I've read. I am curious as to why they stayed though and didn't complete their missions.

My memory must be sh*t I don't remember that at all XD

But if I said it I must have had a reason
    ________________________________
The HoT lore actually explains the building of the mansion and surrounding areas. That area wasn't constructed by ancient beings, it's recent enough to be documented

I actually like this, which is something I haven't said about a theory in a really long time.

I'm pretty sure it was stated in official lore that the Fruman Queen wants to be the only one with magic so she appears godlike. But that being said, I want to equate this to DnD because it makes things easier to understand.

Some people are born with magic (Sorcerers) (For example the Corkeans were all born with their electromagic)

Some people study magic (Wizards) (for example most of the mages around and on mage island and whatnot)

And finally, some people make pacts for magic (Warlocks) (I think the EotS cultists may have made a pact with the demon or something)

Regardless, let's look at the Fruman queen. She may have been born with magic, or studied it. Either way, she has magic.

But what if you are right, she wants to work with the eye. Her reason for doing so would be to make a "pact" or whatever. She helps the Eye (one of the most powerful beings in the world of Wynncrafy), and she gets in return more powerful magic (Enough to make her look godlike). That would be a scary thought.

Now, I still don't agree with the whole theory. But I rarely do agree with whole theories, sometimes not even my own.

But you do make enough good points to invoke a thoughtful analysis further into each point. For that, I applaud.

    Taken out of context,

    yes.

Put into context with what is already provided in terms of lore in-game,

    no.

Damn you gave me a lot of stuff to reply to.
    >.> I do, where did I say I dont? Also It's Site C, but I dont that anyone went after the ragni mines crystal. I didn't forget about Site C, but I dont think anyone hid it. I think it was always in a volcano (Mostly because there aren't any puzzles)

I think they messed up and got the Eye angry and then he transformed them.
Oh no I meant KoR lol Im the one who has sh*t memory

Alright, so then the Site C was hidden by the Twain Brothers

That is something I mentioned in later comments, though in later comments I still disragarded them hiding all of the crystals.
    thx dads
I have no idea what DnD lore is like so ill just leave this be
    ye

Rereading comments I realized I forgot a chunk of stuff that I was going to add, might include it in future theories.
