Llevigar Plains Meteor?

There is a meteor along the path near Llevigar. One of the citizens beside one of the Llevigar garden patches said there was a meteor along the path and he could collect the shards and make a fortune! I ran to the meteor to see if any shards appeared but none did. Is he talking about another meteor or is that just a pointless speech?

for example there's this dude who said that the only thing worse than being dead is being poor. and he's in llevigar. The first place you go to for Gavel is llevigar, so they add a bunch of greedy villagers to give you a hint about what the villager is all about, since not all people lurk forums.
