Warrior/Knight Help Spell Alka

Yeah, looking for as many variations of earth spell builds for alka that there is. Don't care if it's glassy, tanky, etc. thanks :)

 

I'm a lay man when it comes to builds, but I'm pretty sure what you're going for is counter-intuitive. Any spear is much better for spell damage than alka

 

No.. Alka can get very high damage with spells, my build does 14k uppercuts, I'm just trying to get other variants

Pretty good dmg, u can swap statue for paradox and swap nebulous for squid Anklet if you'd like

You also don't have to wait 4 years before you can uppercut again :)

 

I get it when people use items that seem counterintuitive like cancer's negative melee damage in melee builds, but I don't see what makes alka a viable option compared to other spears in this case. +Attack Speed tier doesn't affect spells anymore, and you have to overcome the massive negative spell and elemental damage. Even if you could get decent spell damage, why wouldn't you use other spears, especially if we are talking about mythics like thrunderack?

 

I'm not using cancer, when did I ever say anything about cancer?

 

alka does the 2nd highest spell dmg of any spear in game, and there is no negative spell on it. also, the negative elem dmg doesn't affect it at all, it only deals earth, I honestly have no idea why it's on there.
also the way elem def works atm, alka just does more. thunder can be negated with minimum effort while Alka almost entirely ignores def.

I have a feeling you don't understand the weapon system very well.

 

He was referring to the use of Cancer in Melee builds for the attack speed it offers and then using other items to cancel out the negatives

Only does Earth damage, so no elemental to worry about, nor is their any negative spell damage
There's only the base multiplier from it being super slow attack speed
Which doesn't do anything besides keep it in line with other weapons *cough* like T-Crack *cough*
