Guide The Excellent Adventures Of Calamity 3.0

This is not a Class Build thread, it is intended as an informative thread highlighting the more 'unfair' aspects of duels.

Some of you may have seen me seeking duels in Detlas in the past month. I have been testing out Calamity 3.0, attempting to perfect it into the go-to build designed with the sole purpose to win. After 136 duels, here are the results:







133 wins and 3 losses, not bad if I say so myself.

14 draws: 4 were due to unending duels (100% of them are Statue Mages with like 22k HP rip) and 10 were due to double KOs via reflection/thorns).

At first there was some trouble against Cataclysm variants, however after duel 60+ I have adapted against them, employing countermeasures. The last loss was duel number 55. A Grimtrap build also caught me off guard.

Now to promote the fixing of broken game mechanics, I present to you Calamity 3.0.

Know that this build is not fair. The two three primary aspects that make this build so disgustingly broken is 1) Elemental Defense, 2) Curse boosts Poison and 3) Ice Snake's pseudo-homing capabilities backed with massive range.

It is still unconfirmed as to whether Curse boosting Poison is intended or not. Regardless, it should not be a thing.

Y'know now that I typed this I realized this is pretty pointless.

Mages can charge Powder Specials during a duel.

Looking at this list, a surprising amount of archers...? Although I pretty much never PvP (not the right builds nor the skills), you'd think archer would be bad in PvP nowadays.

 

Not sure why this is but there are an overwhelming disproportion to the number of endgame pvp-ready Archer/Hunters hanging in Detlas than any other class.

Out of the 136 duels, there were:
- 45 Archers
- 25 Warriors
- 38 Mages
- 28 Assassins

 

Yet those were the only ones able to beat you, so far.

Armor specials or weapon specials?
Pretty sure all classes can charge weapon specials

 

have u tried using this to meme on qira (aka bosses and LI)

 

Curse can be charged once every ~8 seconds, meaning Curse can be permanently active. This essentially means 51660 damage every 10 seconds, taking into account the regeneration of Qira, Calamity 3.0 should be able to kill Qira in around 1 and a half minutes (assuming you can sustain Curse and Poison, which you probably won't, so ~2 minutes is more realistic). Never actually did the math before so I never tried... might actually work :O
