Here is my person list of easiest to hardest classes to use. Reasons will be put below all of my rankings.

The higher the class on the list, it is the best in the certain ranking. The lower the class is on the ranking the worse it is.

    Difficulty:
    1. Mage
    2. Warrior
    3. Archer
    4. Assassin

    Rate of Fun:
    1. Mage
    2. Assassin
    3. Arhcer
    4. Warrior

    Level of Mobility:
    1. Mage
    2. Archer
    3. Warrior
    4. Assassin

    Reasons:

    -Mage:
Mage has a Heal by itself which rules out potions. However you don't always need to do a Mana build so having a potion on a Mage isn't something new. It just may seem strange. Either way they still have a heal on them which (if you have quick movements finger-wise) then you can basically negate most damage. Along with it you have a Teleport spell where at some points sucks. However in most cases it works very well with them. Ideally you can use Teleport to get out of battle and use Heal in order to heal whatever damage was dealt to you. You can also get to safer spots that most classes cant get to and abuse/use that spot to your advantage. Meteor itself is a very damaging move which helps the Mage with their lack of damage from their weapons. Combine Meteor with a lot of Spell Damage and you are guaranteed to kill a majority of your enemies. It is also great for setting down and teleport away. Mages also have a spell called Ice Snake where you stop enemies in their tracks and either get away, set a trap, or just wail on them. Either way Mage has very good potential and even though their combos can be very limited, they are really tough to kill alone. Even though I personally dislike the class, it is very fun to use, you can watch the enemies freak out as you teleport away and Ice Snake them to a Meteor. Also if you just go for a Healer mage and just take all the hits while spamming Heal. It's pretty darn funny.

    -Archer:
Archers are given an Escape spell where it gives a splash of both speed and damage if you so see fit. You can get many places with Archers or even try to outrun White Horses. Either way this class is full of range and shots that are meant to frustrate your enemies. You have Arrow Storm where you unleash arrows upon arrows dealing loads of damage if someone or something gets hit by the full force of it. If you ran a Poison build for an just one arrow is all you need to start that poison up. Soon after you just watch them fall off and die slowly. You can combine Escape and Arrow Storm together making you someone who seems like the Angel of Death. Arrow Bomb is essentially one of the most damaging spells in the game, it has the potential to do trick shots where it is nearly impossible. It also runs further than a normal arrow so you can shoot people from quite the ways away. You can combine Arrow Storm and this masking the Arrow Bomb in the barrage of arrows. All of this is good and fun but if an Archer is caught off-guard and is caught in arms reach of their opponent they have a great spell to use called Arrow Shield. This spell launches opponents in the air if they get touched by this and deal quite a bit of damage. If you are Hawkeye then you can shoot them in Mid-Air with your Bomb Arrow or just let a furry of Arrow Storm on them. Assassin is quite vulnerable in air so if they sneak up on you remember to have that shield up. Archer is essentially a close second but falls under in the Fun category. You can abuse AIs and get to a lot of weird places that seem nearly impossible to some classes. Just look out for that cliff and you will be all good to go!

    -Warrior:
The Warrior class is something that you should never take lightly. They have a Charge spell where they leap towards someone or something and bash into it. It is also great to get impressive distances that would normally take quite awhile. You can confuse people where you are if you Charge all around them and keep on hitting. It's also great to kill a horde of mobs with while looking pretty sweet. Warriors can also ground their opponents with Bash, you take your weapon and slam the ground and an Earthquake can come around their opponents, recovering from this Warriors can use this opportunity and wail on them or get some distance between them and their enemy. But if this isn't enough you can always send them shooting up into the air and exploding up there straight to the ground where they explode... again... This spell is called Uppercut, it is very great to deal a lot of damage or get your opponent to be stalled for awhile. You can combo these three spells together by having Bash used first and Charge a couple of times at your opponent finishing it all off with an Uppercut. But if a Warrior seems like they cant hang on or deal enough damage they scream their war cry called: War Scream. Warrior's yelling are so loud they can cause a controlled shockwave that goes through walls! This toughens them up and gives them more fuel to beat their opponent's skulls in. This class can only get up a few blocks while charging and it isn't so great to try and get somewhere high. Warriors tend to use Charge to get away, but having such a straight forward spell set, it gets boring and it is quite hard to combo some of your spells together in succession. But once you land a combo, don't stop, you will hurt quite a bit.

    -Assassin:
Staying close to the shadows, Assassins come out and kill their opponents quick and swiftly. Using their spell Spin Attack they can get rid of pesky outsiders than plan on ruining your one on one fight. You blind those that surround you and slow them, taking what is yours while giving them unfortunate downs. But if there is too many you may need to disappear from the fight using Vanish where you can get away quickly and unseen. But you may stay and gain the opportunity of surprise, dealing some extra damage. Using Vanish and Spin Attack together deal quite a bit of damage. Make sure you always keep them guessing. But if you seem not able to shake those chasing you, just lay some surprises for them. Using the spell Smoke Bomb, they will suffocate in the gas you created for them. If they feel like staying in there they are going to end up like those that you dealt with in the past. Sometimes however you need to hurt a bit more than just those tactics, use your arm and hit them multiple times in the air and make sure they are on their toes, not you. Using Multi-Hit you can have the potential to send enemies away as you either get away or decide to combo them. Assassins are all about getting in, dealing a lot of damage, and getting out either unscathed or barely hurt. You aren't supposed to take things head on, you don't have the spells to essentially do that. But admittedly the class is pretty darn fun, you can act like an actual assassin, you jump from tree to tree, hide behind bushes or just do anything unseen. But be careful of your Mana, your spell Vanish drains it quite fast so you better use that to your best advantage and get somewhere fast. Assassins cant really move much, thanks to the update, you have a little push, it helps them out at least from taking fall damage.

    What I have to say...:

Sorry for the style of text changing from the way Mage was written to Assassin. I had some fun in the end. Either way this was not done in my own opinions, the combos yes, but everything else no. I remained neutral for everything else. I also only explained End-Game spells. I will NOT give this out in form of Early-Game spells. Also please don't copy and paste what I said anywhere else unless if you give me credit.

Anyway, this is what I say, the rankings are not something like there is a clean-cut difference, they were actually closer than you think. There is no actual answer, everyone plays things differently and so their turn-outs are different. We think different things based on what other people think, basically the snowball effect. This isn't always the answer but it tends to be, you all have your right for an opinion and so do I. Either way I wish you all a good day and do things that seem impossible to you.

Go beyond! And achieve what belongs to you!

Kinda when I played warrior. I saw that I wasn't dealing much dmg at all. So I decided that I should try Assassin.
Now I only like Warrior for the ability Charge. Charge is best Mobility Ability in the game.
The reason I don't like Warrior is because 3 of Warrior's spells deal knockback to the enemy.
The other 3 classes, Mage, Assassin, Archer don't really deal knockback, besides Assassin's multi hit and Archer's Arrow Shield.
When I hear most people talk about Warrior, usually they just say "Abuse Apoc" or "Abuse Alk", but seriously not many players have alk or apoc.
I even see less people really use Warrior as much as they did pre gavel.
When I was in a random party to do Li. I saw I was the only Warrior and the rest of the players were Mages and 3 Archers.
There were over 20 people because there were 2 parties going in.
Even in Detlas I find my self to be the only Warrior there, sometimes only 2 Warriors in Detlas.
Warrior is the best early game, and is the best late game only if you have like a mythic or the strongest items you can get.
Mage is the worst early game, and the best late game not requiring many items.
Assassin is not the best or worst early and late game.
Archer is the one class the most skill to use.

Archer - easy/hard depending on your build/style. I like bowstrafing/bombing with ws, its ez
however this does not work on super annoying dungeons like undergrowth ruins since slime blocks ewwwww
i like this best for cool bomb shots; ie: shooting it downward toward a wall, so it hits twice, or aiming it straight down so it bounces so many times. Arrow shield is useful too.
Assassin - hard class to play as, but challenging and fun. It's pretty much slightly harder than warrior.
Warrior - most balanced class 2017
Mage - Meh heal is OP and is near-max-health, needs slight nerf

regardless poison thorns any class is cancer due to ranged spells(bomb/ohko assassin, war scream(fun dodging with my ws :P) and ice snake)
    wait cancer is poison
    ehh goes both ways

Archer is hardest it can barely solo LI while mage assassin and warrior can solo it with not too much difficulty.

I used to hate assassin too, but as I started to play it more it became my favorite class <3

Anyway, regarding my opinion on this matter, warrior is not the hardest class. If anything, it's the easiest one, since with the right build, you can take 0 damage from mobs. Even though tank builds have low damage, if you think about it, if you keep slapping a mob, it's going to die eventually, unless you have a really bad weapon.

Mage is pretty easy, as long as your defenses are decent and you have some mana regen, you shouldn't die (unless you're fighting a boss with one shot spells like death metal or cybel) Also, while we're here, for the love of god please nerf ice snake, it's the only reason why I can't beat mages wig my assassin.

With assassin, you have to get used to the play style. It's different, and that's what i like about it. I also like how you aren't as glassy as archer or Mage, meaning that you can still be tanks with it and you're still able to do nice damage. Vanish is amazing if you know how to use it correctly, and it's really funny to use in duels as well.

Now, archer. There are a lot of problems with this class. First of all, it's the glass cannon class. Glass is bad in the current meta, and there's a reason for that. Archers aren't even good glass cannons, from what I've seen, archers do mediocre damage. Mages and assassins can outdamage them, I don't know about warrior though. I think one of, if not the main problem with archer is the element it was built for, Agility. The problem with this, if you're unlucky and agility doesn't trigger, then boom, you're dead. It's mythics are terrible as well, but that's another subject for another day. The only way for archer to be viable engame is if you have a lot of skill with it, like how Motoki has. Thus, archer is the hardest class to play.

I think you folks have a wrong point of view about classes, as a player who haves used all classes I can tell:

    PVP BEST CLASS
The build also haves a lot involved here, I'm using a normal common meta build for each class and found out that:

    1• Assassin:

Assassin unlike how much people think is the best class in this meta, it can deal decent damage and still be tanks, you would never tell is a good class until you play it, best class for the actual meta.

    2• Archer:
Archer despite being so weak in PvE it shines when PVP gets into the table, it's damage and mobility makes it awesome, sadly every power haves a condition that ruins everything, being in this case, it is super glassy.

    3• Mage:
Everyone knows heal at this point, if you have enough mana just R-L-R can ruin the effort of 3 minutes from other classes, still mage isn't that great and that's why 3rd place is for him.

    4• Warrior:
I hope you folks understand how hard is for me, a warrior lover, giving my fav class the 4th place, warrior used to be perfectly balanced but new meta made warrior pretty glassy, what is sad because it was thinned to be the tankiest class in the game, is slow, defense isn't that great in the 60% of it's builds and damage isn't godlike unless you manage to get an Alka or Apoc, abusable glitch builds is the only reason of why people haven't forgot warrior yet.

I would switch Mage as best class for pvp and assassin as second and archer as third because of ice snake, heal, and the insane meteor damage. Also with my assassin I can beat nearly all archers even if they spam arrow shield, if they escape on a roof then I just try to dodge the arrow bombs until they decide to come back down on ground.

A quick explanation, I did not mean mobility as in movement but in rather how you can get around places of a fight or so forth. Warriors have great mobility sideways, forward to backward, but they cannot get to nearly half of the places Mages or Archers can get to. This is just clarification on my opinion on that part. Sorry if it wasn't specific.

Considering how Archer can get to higher places, Mages can glitch through blocks and unlock new places. Some places haven't been fixed so I tend to abuse the said spots. Archers I do have to agree can get to places that are difficult to reach. But tendencies Mages can get to the same spot, it will just take a bit more time and mana. Archers I do have to say, have the single most frustrating movement spell out of them all. You sometimes just dont go anywhere and you are just fed to the mobs. But hey, at least picture yourself being eaten alive just like a Zombie Apocolypse! Haha!

Personally, I really think archers skill has a high skill cap. There are definitely times it really hurts you, but you gotta remember how useful the speed 3 is, it allows traveling easy and dodging better. While mages can glitch through blocks, such an act is against the rules, so I wouldn't really give points to mage over itTeleport is cool though.

Hm yeah, sometimes I just don't question it when I am in a block. All I do is stay there and just look at the stupid amount of mobs that I will never kill because beginning a Mage all-over isn't as fun as I remembered... Anyway yeah same with Assassin, you forget the Vanish buff and you just go right off a cliff. You don't die but now you are at the bottom of it. Happened in the Lost Valley and I just did /kill and quit that quest. That quest SUCKS as Assassin or sometimes Warrior. Also Mages can just cheap out parkour... Which kinda sucks cause I do it too! It feels so terrible but at the same time so good!

Although I would say Archer is the hardest class, It annoys me how people complain about Mage. Here is what I think : try to solo Giant Rat at lv 3, Heal cost like half your mana and you have no damage spell... Until lv 21... Yea seems legit have fun grinding or doing Literally anything when you don't deal any damage. Also have you ever thought about pre-gavel mage? Or assassin? They completely changed. Assassin went from oneshotting everything with his multihit and life + mana stealing to... meh I'd rather use smoke bomb.
But back to Mage... yea no you really only had 3 spells, who needs pots or Heal when you have life steal.

    TL;Dr

Ids made mage better and assassin worse, and mage's pre lv 21 sucks
