Death's Realm and Heaven (the area where you fight Bob) seems to be a different type of realm, a type that doesn't influence the world large scale like the other ones do, or perhaps their effect is even stronger...

So I read it again and there's a few things I'm stuck on. Fruma and Crystals.

I don't understand how you come to these two conclusions. I'm not saying you are wrong, no, I just don't understand and would like clarification.

Firstly, the whole magic attracting Darkness thing I don't get. Teik, a defender of light, has used magic to try to stop the decay (which is created by absence of light, AKA darkness). If magic attracts darkness, why would Teik, or the elves who are protectors of light, use magic? I think there's a very thick line in between normal magic and dark magic.

That being said, I don't understand how you got your Fruma claim. They limit magic to keep away Darkness. Now, I'm on my phone right now so I don't have the actual quote, but I'm 99% sure the magic restriction was explained. The Queen wants to be a seen as a Godess. Although not divine herself, by not letting others use magic, hers could look godlike. I don't understand however the the Fruman memory wipe thing. But nonetheless, the lore gives the reason for the magic restriction.

As for the crystals, they are POWERFUL magic. Perhaps even dark magic. But I don't understand how you turned them into a border that Darkness can't cross. Your map shows how far Darkness can go. But dark things such as Dern Beasts are beyond that line. Furthermore, if you wish to apply geographic locations to the realms, the portal to the nether is beyond that line (assumingly the spot where light and dark clashes to create the nether). Please explain how you got to this border conclusion.

I'm not shooting you down (except for the Fruma magic restriction, that I'm shooting down). I'm actually curious how you got to some of these conclusions so they can be strengthened.

Well, we know the eye got close to the crystal, he chased the ancients all the way there, but why didnt he go passed?
The ancients could have been there for thousands of years, and maybe, the furthest he could possibly go is to touch them, and if the ancients were there 1k~ years, then that could have also been when corruption became a thing

 

i don't remember any lore about him being that old, but in any case, he could easily just learn magic. If he really is 1000 years old then he's had almost 100 years to do it.

 

The tombs were in the desert before the humans arrived from Fruma, and that was about a thousand years ago, meaning that they must have been there for atleast a thousand years

I get that this is a theory, but I don't think that this is a viable one in any way.

You say that the Crystals keep away the darkness/The Eye. This doesn't make sense, as the ancients came from the dark land, and it says in their signs that they stole the crystals when they left. Another sign says "It commands us to bring it back to him, we must obey." Meaning that the Crystals aren't keeping the darkness/Eye back in any way, because the darkness/Eye wants them back. Why would you want something back that keeps you from invading a province?

With the humans originating from Dern, I don't agree with this either, simply because the lore doesn't point to humans originating from Dern. About who else would have built the tombs, the other option from humans is Dernians (Dernian is the term, right?). From the Challenge of The Blades Boss Altar, we fight a "sadistic denizen from the Realm of Darkness." The Boss Altar is also referred to as a "magical trap" in the discovery lore, which coincides with the whole trapped tomb theme in the SST. The boss is also a very humanoid boss in shape, which means that the mummy's could be Dernian, seeing as we can't tell whether or not they are human or Dernian with bandages all over their skin.

But if I'm being honest, I don't think it's fair to theorise on the desert yet. There is such little lore surrounding it so far, that every theory about it is either untrue or 100% true, since there is very little lore to support or disprove the theory in the first place.

With the representative of each realm, we already know that for Light it's Orphion. For the darkness it's never explicitly stated, but for now everyone seems to think it's The Eye (I for one think The Eye has something more to do with Time, but that's a different matter). Also, in the dialogue in WynnD, it is implied that the power of the Crystals is the power of both Dark and Light, which is basically Corruption. Now, The Bridge of the Divide leggings seem to suggest it is possible to have a perfect balance of Dark and Light, Twilight, without the horrible effects like corruption, which I think is what the crystals could do, if used properly, but that's getting away from the point. The point is, even if the Crystals were stopping the Darkness, it wouldn't be as a representative of Light, it would be Corruption/Twilight.

Though this is viable, I think that humans have evolved or devolved over time, or simply changed. I think thousands of years ago when they could have still been in dern they were still much different than they would be now.

Well, putting everything we have together, there were atleast 4 pharoahs or people of importance, knowing there are presumably 4 tombs (Sandswept, relic, wynnEx a,and mummies tomb), and they were last appearent, at the last, a thousand years ago, ubt could have been here 3000, or 5000, or who knows what.

Ye. But the corruption began when the light and darkness touched. Presumably at the crystal (Also where the eye stopped) because thats where the lore is told. Thats mostly why I think the corruption began when the eye touched the crystal.
