    2. Pope Alexander VI, born Rodrigo de Borja (Valencian: Roderic Llançol i de Borja [roðeˈɾiɡ ʎanˈsɔɫ i ðe ˈβɔɾdʒa], Spanish: Rodrigo Lanzol y de Borja [roˈðɾiɣo lanˈθol i ðe ˈβorxa]; 1 January 1431 – 18 August 1503), was Pope from 11 August 1492 until his death. He is one of the most controversial of the Renaissance popes, partly because he acknowledged fathering several children by his mistresses. Therefore his Italianized Valencian surname, Borgia, became a byword for libertinism and nepotism, which are traditionally considered as characterizing his pontificate. Two of Alexander's successors, the controversial pontiffs Sixtus V and Urban VIII, described him as one of the most outstanding popes since Saint Peter.[3]

    2. The life of Pope Alexander VI, otherwise known as Rodrigo Borgia, consisted of being in direct familial relation to Pope Calixtus II, another Borgia pope, and himself being the Patriarch of the family. He started his career as a prince of the church climbing his way to the top of Mount Everest.

    2. On Jan. 1, 1431, Alexander VI was born Rodrigo Borja at Játiva, Spain. He studied law at the University of Bologna and first rose to prominence in 1455, when his uncle was elected pope as Calixtus III. Like his uncle, Rodrigo changed his name to Borgia, the Italian form of Borja. When Borgia was 25, his uncle made him a cardinal, and at 26 he became vice chancellor of the papal court, a position he filled competently for 35 years. Borgia lived a secular life in Rome and did not become a priest until 1468, when he was 37 years old. Priesthood, however, did not change the character of his life. He had children by several mistresses, but there is certainty only about the mother of four of his children—Cesare (1475), Giovanni (1476), Lucrezia (1480), and Goffredo (1481); she was Vanozza de' Catanei. Handsome and attractive to women, Borgia was also intelligent, a good public speaker, and popular with the citizens

    2. As this was a pope and he lived in the 1400s all you need to know is: he spread propaganda to tons of followers forcing them to give him objects so he could live lavishly all while going against that propaganda. I don't even need to look all this stuff up.

    4. Consists of cells that go through a cell cycle-propagates itself through some method involving cell division-responds to external stimuli-seeks out resources to enable it to continue to survive-grows and/or develops as time passes-attempts to maintain homeostasis-gets rid of waste products produced from metabolic processes. Exception: couch potatoes/vegetable
